1991 Acura Legend Coupe on 2040-cars
Larkspur, California, United States
I am always available by mail at: tressatkkoenigsberg@hammersfans.com .
Hi - I want to sell my 1991 Acura Legend coupe. I am the car's second owner. I have only put 12,000 miles on it
since I bought it from the original owner in 1999. It has been in the Central Valley of CA all its life - I doubt
it has ever seen rain, let alone snow. It has always been garaged. Everything works. The a/c is ice-cold. There
is zero sun damage and zero rust. Its Ivory leather interior is perfect. The driver's seat was protected by a
custom sheepskin cover until a year ago. Please check out the free AutoCheck report. It has never been hit. All
the paint is original. It has the optional tan leather interior. It has 4 new Goodyear Eagle GT V speed-rated tires
($800; 9/8/15) and a new Acura battery (8/21/15; $150). Everything on it works. The dealership recently replaced
its air filter and fuel filter, and inspected the plugs and timing belt. The verdict: it is good to go. I have
EVERY dealer service record since it was new. It easily passed California smog on May 7, 2016. You are welcome to
have it inspected by Fresno Acura. Its tags expire in August 2016

Acura claims MDX is best-selling luxury 3-row ever
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Business for Acura has been in a weird place, recently, and the company's latest car launches have been especially rocky. For example, the ILX Hybrid was recently discontinued after just two model years with only about 2,660 sold in that time. The company also delayed the launch of its new TLX by a few months until later this summer. However, despite its issues with sedans, the automaker's utility-vehicle business in absolutely booming. In fact, it now claims that the MDX is the best-selling three-row, luxury SUV, ever.
The MDX is already leading its class this year with 30,664 units sold through June 2014, up 68.4 percent compared 2013. Also, in five of the last six months of reported sales, Acura has posted gains. It appears that the company's utility lineup is really pushing it along.
To take the bestseller ever crown, Acura claims that through its three generations, the MDX has sold a cumulative 692,710 units. The premium model has also been at the top of the annual sales rankings for three-row luxury crossovers every year since 2002. The company believes that its nearest competitor is the Lincoln Navigator with an estimated 420,000 lifetime sales, and even arguably more comparable vehicles like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class only have 350,000 or fewer sales under their belts. Of course, it probably doesn't hurt that the MDX has one of the lower starting prices in its class.
Honda discontinuing Euro Accord, no replacement in sight
Wed, 22 Oct 2014Honda has built two Accords for many years. There's the one we're familiar with here in the United States, and then there's the Accord sold in markets like Europe and Australia, known here in the US as the Acura TSX. But just like Acura did with the TSX, the Euro-market Accord has been discontinued.
The news comes from The Motor Report in Australia, which is reporting that the Accord Euro will be discontinued in 2015. Sold Down Under alongside the US-market model, the discontinuation of the Aussie car indicates an end to Honda's midsize sedan efforts in Europe, where there is no obvious replacement for the four-door and wagon models.
According to TMR, Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins indicated that focus will be placed instead on the US market "wide-body" model, as it's known. That said, this decision doesn't sound like it's sitting too well in Oz.
Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]
Mon, 29 Oct 2012It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.
