1974 ALFA ROMEO GTV - OEM FACTORY SUNROOF (VERY RARE AND ONLY ON 1973-1974 MODELS).
2 LITER MOTOR WITH DUAL WEBERS. Rust Free with excellent Jack Points. Very nice Alfa Rosso 501 Paint. Motor runs excellent and will run right up to 7,600 Redline. A couple of oil leaks in motor and second gear is typical ALFA crunch, but get the right rpm's and everything shifts nicely. Starts right up at -10degrees or +100 degrees. We have run this GTV in events at 10,000 feet in the Colorado Rockie's without any running problems. Newer Brakes and Pirelli P6000 Tires. Overall a very rare Sunroof GTV that runs great and overall appreance works well at any Car Show or Car Event. Centerline Rear Stinger Exhaust and Dual Webers makes this GTV sound as good as any Ferrari, if you take off the Air Box, it really screams................... Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?

Alfa Romeo will go back to being the brand people admire, according to CEO Harald Wester.

Get lost in Evo's sublime 2013 Car of the Year testing
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Every year Evo stages its Car of the Year test, bringing the best performance cars in the world to one location for an epic shootout. This year the magazine pitted eight CotY finalists against each other on Route Napoleon in Southern France - Evo claims it's the "best road in the world" - and then proceeded to nitpick the smallest of faults on each car until the winner could be named. You see, this year's lineup of machines was just so good that only one car obviously wasn't CotY material from the get-go. Can you guess which one judging from the list below?
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
- Audi R8 V10 Plus
