Up for auction is my 2004 Audi Allroad 2.7 Twin Turbo Wagon with just over 95K miles.  This is only my second Audi as we usually drive Saabs, but I've decided to convert to being an Audiphile after owning this one.

I picked this one up at Audi Chantilly in Virginia a few months back.  I absolutely love the car, but I have a chance to pick up another, bigger V8 Audi and this one has to go.

The car is in excellent condition and has just been serviced. I haven't experienced any dash lights and have had nothing but great luck with this little rocket.  I run Mobil 1 synthetic in the engine and run Bosch filters.

The engine is a twin turbocharged (biturbo) V-6 backed up by a 5 speed automatic transmission with tiptronic and sport modes.  I can't get over the way this thing puts down power...it's a good sized car and with the Quattro it will out pull both of my Saabs.

The only options missing are the paddle shifters on the steering wheel and the navigation system.  I just replaced the rotors all the way around with slotted ABT rotors and replaced the pads with Raybestos pads.

The interior has the cold weather package which includes the heated steering wheel and heated seats (front and rear) The rear has parking sensors as well.

The leather interior is immaculate, but a couple of the knobs and dials have some of the rubberized coating missing from use.  All options work well and the car flat our flies!  The tires are Toyo luxury touring tires and have just been balanced and rotated and have around 8/32 each.  A pet divider is included as are both factory keys.  The HID headlights are extremely bright and the Audi Concert audio system is absolutely ridiculous and has XM radio that has a paid subscription.

The windshield was also replaced about a month ago as it had a pretty bad chip that was turning into a crack.

The only defects I've found are one door ding that I can't seem to find after washing the car and a couple of light stone chips, but the car is absolutely stunning in person.  I actually use the adjustable suspension quite a bit and it functions perfectly.  The car is just a well cared for Allroad with decent mileage.  If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

I apologize for the blur in the pics....it's my terrible camera.

2016 Audi A6

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

After dodging light traffic for more than 10 miles at speeds never exceeding 85 miles per hour, the left lane of the derestricted autobahn ahead of us finally opens wide. This is the opportunity we've been waiting for, and we bury the accelerator against its stop and hold it there. The transmission attached to the turbocharged four-cylinder of our 2016 Audi A6 drops a couple gears and begins an arduous battle against aerodynamic drag.
The sleek sedan cuts through the wind effortlessly up until about 125 mph, after which the speedometer needle slows noticeably as the outside world continues to blur. By 145 mph, there's no longer a discernible feeling of acceleration, yet the bright-orange speedometer needle continues its climb. Finally, the speedometer nearly reaches 160 before we are forced to firmly brake and return to saner speeds because of traffic looming ahead.
Automakers routinely host us in Europe and elsewhere to sample their wares in a much less restrictive driving environment. Which explains why we find ourselves standing in Dresden, Germany, a stunningly beautiful 800-year-old city along the Elbe River, overlooking Audi's latest executive express.

2016 Audi TT [w/video]

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

What came first, the metrosexual or the Audi TT? While it was close, the descriptor-turned-epithet preceded the 1995 concept car by one year. However, they were both notable cultural evolutions and they happened to work together perfectly. Hugh Grant, playing the cad Will Freeman in the 2002 film About a Boy, could not have chosen a better example of character than his silver TT.
A decade later, the original TT was still important enough that when rumors of the third-generation coupe began to surface in late 2012, the most exciting fantasy was that the 2014 coupe might "recapture some of the distinctiveness and impact" of a 16-year-old car (the TT came to market in 1998). Even speculation by dedicated Audi observers thought the brand would do something novel, even if not mimicry. The obvious takeaway: no one was going to be lighting any candles for the departed second generation. All of that is why when the first leaked image slipped onto the Internet, people began to get suspicious. When the third generation took the stage at the Geneva Motor Show, we could almost hear the digital deflation over the Ethernet, our poll results notwithstanding.
Yet it's still the TT, and in spite of having seen its interior and virtual cockpit and clocked its specs, we couldn't judge it before heading to Marbella, Spain to drive it. What we found out was while it's better than the second generation, it's still very much a TT.
