Inside of car is clean and has only small worn area in driver's seat on edge (not ripped, just worn in the one spot). Car runs extremely well with nothing done to the car except routine oil changes since I've owned it. The only two things that need corrected are door sesor needs replaced which causes warning light in car to light up "door open"; and windshield washer fluid container has leak."

You are bidding on a 2001 Audi TT Quattro Convertible.  I purchased the car from a dealer almost two years ago for a weekend fun car.  I have put 13,000 miles on the car with no maintenance issues at all other than routine oil changes.  The car is very reliable.  The 1.8 litre turbocharged 4 cyl. puts out 225 horsepower that gets you where you need to go.  The handling of the car, the all wheel drive, and the very smooth 6-speed manual transmission make it a true sports car. Nothing better for this car than a long curvy road with the top down.  The heated leather seats will keep you warm on those fall evenings when the top is down.  If it does get too hot, the A.C. is extremely cold.  The cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power top, remote deck lid and fuel lid work flawlessly. The leather is clean with only a small worn area on driver's side back of seat.  The silver exterior looks great and the black convertible top looks brand new.  The winning bidder will get a very good car.  The car is for sale locally also so I reserve the right to end the auction early.  Questions can be texted to 217-822-4126. Cash must be received before title and car released.  It should be noted that since I listed with e-bay, they did background check and determined car had been in "buy back by manufacturer" and had to be listed as such.  This is news to me.  Like I mentioned earlier, I bought this car from a dealer and was not made aware of its previous buy back.  The car also has no sticker in the door to indicate buy back as typically mandated by law. The only sticker in door is original manufacturer sticker dated May 2001, and the buy back was in 2002.  Also, I have the title in hand which lists the car as used and type of title as original.  Again, Thank you for looking and good luck.  This is a good and reliable vehicle.

Audi already teasing, testing next R18 e-tron quattro

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

You can't debate Audi's record in endurance racing. With 12 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it comes second only to Porsche in the history books of the famous endurance race - only in Audi's case, all of those victories have come in the last 14 years, losing only twice: once to its partner team Bentley in 2003 and once to rival Peugeot in 2009. It's won the FIA World Endurance Championship in both of the seasons it's run so far, and has won championships in the European and American Le Mans Series, too.
That's quite a record to defend, and defend it Audi will with an evolved LMP1 racer next year. Only a week after tying up its second consecutive world championship, the German outfit is already back at Sebring this weekend testing the successor to the all-conquering R18 e-tron Quattro. Unfortunately as the new United SportsCar Championship doesn't include LMP1s, the only chance we may have to see it competing here in the United States will be at the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas in September.
Audi is keeping mum on the details for the time being, releasing only this one photo and promising to reveal further details before the end of the month, but we can already discern a more streamlined shape, revised aero and reprofiled headlamps among the changes from the outgoing R18. One way or another, with Toyota upping its game and Porsche returning to top-level competition next season, Audi may be in for its toughest challenge yet - but you can bet it won't take it lying down. Scope out the press release below and watch this space for more.

Audi reveals next-gen TT interior at CES

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Audi has taken the somewhat unusual step of unveiling much of the interior of its upcoming TT Coupe at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That's unusual, because they haven't shown us the car yet. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised - with the proliferation of technology in automobiles these days, it's probably time we start considering them as much electronic devices as transportation devices.
While Audi has long been recognized as a leader in interior design, this new TT features an instrument cluster that is wildly different from what we've become accustomed to from the Four-Ring brand. Audi is calling its fully digital system a "virtual cockpit," and with its 12.3-inch LCD screen situated directly in front of the driver, it does away with the company's traditional Multi-Media Interface (MMI) display in the center stack. Two modes are offered, one classic option with large gauges and another more oriented to infotainment.
Besides electronics, the actual hard parts of the interior also show plenty of new thinking. With the removal of the central screen, Audi has been able to streamline its instrument panel to resemble a wing of sorts, with jet-like HVAC vents that house their own controls. Two more points for controls are presented to the driver, with buttons on the flat-bottom steering wheel and another set on the center tunnel.

2014 Nissan GT-R Track Pack squares off against Audi R8 V10 Plus

Wed, 22 May 2013

The team over at Motor Trend has pitted the new Audi R8 V10 Plus against the Nissan GT-R. While both of the bright red all-wheel-drive supercars are comparably matched in power output, the similarities end there. Audi offers a mid-engine aluminum coupe with a naturally aspirated V10 that spits out 550 horsepower. Nissan shows up with a more traditional coupe equipped with a 545-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 at the front of the car.
The Head-to-Head video takes both cars to the Streets of Willow Springs in the California desert for some track work with professional racing driver Randy Pobst behind the wheel. After a day at the track, the pair head to the local mountains for some spirited real-world driving. One dominates on the circuit, while the other earns back its credibility in the canyons. We won't tell you which coupe comes out on top, but we think you may be surprised. Follow the link below to watch for yourself.
