HI, I HAVE A 1994 BMW FOR SALE. I'M THE SECOND OWNER, 89+ OCTANE AND FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGES. FULL POWER, SEATS, WINDOWS, SUNROOF, HEATED SEATS, FOG LIGHTS, PREMIUM BOTTLE CAP RIMS, DUAL AIRBAGS,

WORK DONE - INTERIOR HEADLINER AND PILLARS WITH SUEDE; DECENT JOB BUT LOOKS GREAT FROM A SAGGY HEADLINER. UP GRADED RADIO, SHOCKS, TUNE UP, ENTIRE COOLANT SYSTEM OVERHAULED NEW WATER PUMP, BELTS, HOSES, RADIATOR, RESERVOIR,  AND FILLED WITH BMW SPEC BLUE COOLANT. TRANNY SERVICED, PAN DROPPED DOWN AND CLEANED - FILTER AND FLUID. TIRES ARE GOOD. WAXED AND CAR CLAYEY ONCE A YEAR. VERY POWERFUL CAR ON THE HIGHWAY, PULLS STRONG.

WHAT IT NEEDS - DRIVERS SIDE DOOR PANEL IS SHOT, THE TRANSISTOR FOR THE HEAT AND A/C LEVELS NEEDS REPLACING; ITS NOT THE BLOWER. DRIVER SEAT CANT RECLINE BECAUSE THE PLASTIC GEAR COLLAPSED, COMMON PROBLEM AND CAN BE A PROJECT FOR A DIY PERSON. GAUGES GO IN AND OUT SOMETIMES, SOME SHORT IN THE CLUSTER, I HAD THE SYSTEM PRESSURE TESTED, THEIR IS A EXTERNAL HEAD GASKET LEAK TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE ENGINE, DOES NOT OVER HEAT!

IT COMES WITH A SHOE BOX FULL OF ODD PARTS I'VE NEVER GOT AROUND TO REPLACING, A NEW HOOD OPENER BECAUSE I ACCIDENTALLY SNAPPED IT WHILE GETTING IN...I HAVE A CLUSTER TOO AND A BUNCH OF PANELS YOU CAN TAKE WITH, ILL EVEN THROW IN WHATEVER COOLANT I HAVE.

CLEAR COAT IS FLAKING ON FRONT RIGHT FENDER. VERY CLEAN CAR FOR ITS AGE AND RUST IS AT ITS MINIMAL'S STAGE, I NEVER DROVE IN THE WINTERTIME AT ALL TO PREVENT THE NORTHEAST SALT FROM EATING UP THE WELLS. THE UNDER BODY AND EXHAUST ARE IN GREAT SHAPE, CAR IS A GOOD SOLID FOUNDATION FOR A PROJECT RACE CAR OR SHOW CAR, FRAME IS SOLID!...LOW PRICE FOR A CLEAN CAR!!!

((((9-14-14, as the car continued to be re-listed due to non payment I ask that ebayers with 0 feedback refrain from participating. Because of this delay the battery has died, furthermore, time decay is has caused more fluid mixing due to head gasket leak.....I ask that the car must be towed away and not driven or started))))

BMW-Toyota sports car heading towards Tokyo debut

Mon, 20 May 2013

Earlier this year, BMW and Toyota confirmed a four-part joint venture mostly focusing on increasing improving vehicle efficiency using fuel cells, lightweight materials and better battery technology. Also tucked into the announcement was a "feasibility study" for a shared platform to underpin a future midsize "sports vehicle."
In terms of the latter, it seems that things have stepped up from the feasibility stage to the conceptual stage, as Motor Trend reports we could see a pair of new sports car concepts debut later this year in at the Tokyo Motor Show. There isn't much information about the new program, but the article suggests the sports cars could be all-wheel drive hybrids, with electric motors powering the front wheels and a gas engine powering the rear wheels. While a partnership between Toyota and BMW might not lend itself to a catchy portmanteau like "Toyobaru," here's hoping it will bear fruit that is as exciting as the ones produced by the Toyota/Subaru tie up.

Consumer Reports selling its road-tested roadsters [w/video]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Here's a chance to acquire a celebrity-owned vehicles, and this time at a discount instead of a premium. So the celebrity in this case is Consumer Reports, that magazine that could be equally adored and abhored by car enthusiasts. CR buys all of its test vehicles and usually finds willing second owners within its own ranks, but its opening its small used-car lot to the public. On the forecourt are four roadsters: an automatic 2012 Audi TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro S-Tronic with 6,600 miles for $36,500, a manual 2012 BMW Z4 sDrive28i with 8,400 miles for $45,000, a manual 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK250 for $39,500 and a manual 2013 Porsche Boxster with 7,000 miles for $48,000.
Those numbers mean a savings of $9,000 to $10,000 before haggling - each car is listed with an "Asking price" so there could be some wiggle room if you show up with pockets full of dough and eyes full of serious intent. Since the money CR earns from the sales go back into the magazine's budget to buy more test cars, however, it probably won't take any oddball trades, so you can forget about getting any purchasing help from that track-day AMC Javelin project on blocks in the back yard.
The vehicles have been taken care of and spiffed up for sale; buyers will take delivery at the CR test track in East Haddam, Connecticut and get a tour of the facilities. While you're there they'll even take you on a lap around the track so you can feel how your car handles when driven by one of its testers. They will probably not help you with advice on which toaster and dehumidifier to buy - you'll still need to get a subscription for that. Have a look at the video below to see a day in the life of a CR test car.

BMW wants world drifting record back in US

Sat, 23 Mar 2013

BMW just can't stand the thought of the world record for the longest drift winding up in the hands of someone else. The German automaker is set to take a crack at setting a new record by blowing the old one straight out of the water. A driver in China holds the current title after kicking a car sideways for a full 3.6 miles. Now, on May 11, BMW Performance Driving Instructor Johan Schwartz will attempt to pitch a BMW M5 sideways for some 40 miles as part of a stunt to raise funds for the BMW Pro-Am Charity.
We've had the distinct pleasure of riding with the instructors at the BMW facility in South Carolina, and we can tell you that if anyone can keep an M5 at full tilt for 40 miles, it's these guys. BMW has released a teaser video to drum up attention for the stunt. You can catch it below.
