I'm selling my 1997 BMW 328ic.  It has about 148,500 miles and runs very strong with no issues.   It has been very reliable and very fun to drive.  It is Silver over Black leather interior with a  5 Speed manual transmission.   33 - 34 mpg on the highway.

  • Power Windows
  • Power Seats
  • Heated Seats
  • Power Top
  • Cruise Control
  • Dual Zone A/C
  • In Dash Computer
  • Full Leather interior
  • Traction Control

There are no warning lights on, on the dash.   One of the pictures shows the car running with a light free dash.

The electric top works,  all accessories work, all lights and switches work,  A/C blows cold,   heated seats work.   There is nothing in the car that does not work.

Recent Maintenance:

  • New Clutch, Throwout Bearing, and Clutch slave cylinder in the past 5000 miles.
  • While the clutch was being replaced I had all the rubber bushings on the shifter replaced so it is nice and firm like it was when new.
  • Oil changed with Mobil 1 every 4000 miles
  • Replaced Water Pump
  • New Brakes and Rotors in last 5000 miles
  • New Tires about 10000 miles ago
  • New Outer Convertible top about 15000-20000 miles ago.  (Previous owner)
  • New Plugs, airfilter.

The Negatives:

  • Interior cover of the convertible top behind the rear windows needs to have a string replaced. It broke and they sag a little.
  • There are a few small dents around the car.   I have shown them in the pictures

Please ask any questions you might have.

If you pay with a bank or certified check it needs to clear before you can take the car.  IF you are out of state and need the car shipped, that is not a problem but arranging shipment will be up to you. Payment must clear before the car is picked up.

Audi investing $30.3 billion through 2018 for product expansion

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

How does Audi plan to reach two million units in annual sales and pay for the 11 new models it's adding to its lineup - an expansion that may include models named SQ2, Q9 and F-Tron? By increasing its investment to 22 billion euros ($30.3 billion US) between now and 2018. That figure represents an increase of about 500 million euros over the previously planned outlay, according to a report by Automotive News, and that could be due to Audi wishing to goad the momentum that pushed it to 1.5 million annual sales two years ahead of schedule.
It's also about staving off the challenges from BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now that BMW has been able to turn some of its attention away from its "i" series of Megacity cars, it will reportedly spend more than planned in 2014 as it continues the rollout of ten all-new vehicles and 15 new-generation vehicles through the end of next year. Mercedes, having been dropped to third in the sales race, is preparing to add 13 new cars over the next six years.
Audi's money is going into technology, into product like the next-generation TT and the Q1 and production expansions and upgrades all over the world. The expenditure represents just under a fourth of Volkswagen's 84.2 billion-euro ($115.7 US) outlay devoted to taking the number-one global automaker title away from General Motors and Toyota by 2018.

Watch a trio of Santas ride up Mulholland Drive

Wed, 25 Dec 2013

Santa Claus might have his eight reindeer - or nine, when it's foggy - to help him deliver presents in most parts of the world, but in southern California, it looks like he's traded up from Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and company to BMW, Yamaha and Ducati. RNickeyMouse is usually the place to check out spectacular motorcycle crashes on video along LA's Mulholland Drive, but a recent video caught a trio of Santas carving up the iconic, twisty road.
The three Santas are together, riding what appears to be a BMW S1000RR, Yamaha R1 and a hard-to-tell custom bike that could be a Ducati 1098. The video, which is posted below, also catches a bonus Santa riding solo on another S1000RR. Happy Christmas to all, and to all a cool bike!

BMW unleashes 160-hp S 1000 R streetfighter motorcycle

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

BMW Motorrad released the S 1000 RR superbike in 2010, but for those who'd like to take it down a (small) notch, the German motorcycle maker introduced the 2014 S 1000 R, a slightly less-ballsy version of the range-topping superbike, at EICMA on Tuesday.
In its transformation from 193-horsepower superbike to 160-hp sportbike, BMW detuned the 999cc inline four-cylinder engine a bit by lowering the redline from 13,000 RPM to 11,000 RPM, where peak power is made. Torque is rated at "approximately" 83 pound-feet (the RR makes 82.5 lb-ft), but more importantly, engineers tweaked the torque delivery in the R's favor by redesigning the cylinder-head ducts, modifying the camshaft profiles and reprogramming the engine management system. The result is seven lb-ft more torque than the RR up to 7,500 RPM. The R's torque peak occurs at 9,250 RPM.
The bike comes standard with ASC (automatic stability control) and "Race" ABS. Riders can choose between two modes, "Road" and "Rain," which adjust ABS and ASC settings to suit dry or wet roads. DTC (dynamic traction control) is available as an option, and with two modes, "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro," the system optimizes traction and helps riders achieve maximum acceleration.
