THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CAR.  I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

IT DRIVES GREAT AND IS VERY FUN TO DRIVE.  THIS CAR NEED AN OWNER THAT CAN GIVE IT TLC.  SHE CAN BE RESTORED TO PERFECTION WITH LITTLE EFFORT.

I SIMPLY DO HAVE THE FUNDS TO DO THAT AND I MOVED TO A CLIMATE THAT IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO ENJOYING THIS CAR.  THIS CAR NEED TO BE DRIVEN!!

SHE SITS ALL WINTER AND AS I SAID THIS CAR WANT TO DRIVE.

THERE ARE A FEW ISSUES.

THE FUSE FOR THE AIR CONDITIONER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.  ONE OF THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT THE MECHANISM WORKS PERFECT.

THE FUSE FOR THE ON BOARD COMPUTER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THE CD PLAYER WILL NOT EJECT THE CD BUT THE STEREO WORKS GREAT.  THERE IS A LEAK

IN THE TRANSMISSION FLUID BUT ALL IT NEEDS IS A GASKET.  IF I HAD THE RESOURCES I WOULD NEVER SELL THIS CAR.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

I DON'T WANT TO BE SELFISH SO I HAVE DECIDED TO SELL HER TO AN ENTHUSIAST WHO WILL APPRECIATE THIS MACHINE.

THIS IS AN EASY CAR TO WORK ON FOR ANYONE WHO KNOWS THE BMW 6 SERIES AND THERE ARE ONLY MINOR ISSUES.  THIS CAR IS A CLASSIC AND RUNS

INCREDIBLY WELL.

PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS.  PAYMENT AND SHIPPING WILL BE ARRANGED AFTER THE SALE IS FINAL.

BMW planning X4 M Performance diesel? [w/poll]

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

With the arrival of the new X4 in March, BMW will expand its crossover portfolio by one more model. But while some enthusiasts may have been disappointed by the news that the Bavarian automaker isn't likely to authorize an M version of the compact slantback crossover, this latest development could help bridge the gap.
Although the line used to be quite clear between standard BMWs and M models, Munich has been blurring it with the M Performance treatment. Those have included models like the M135i hatchback and M235i coupe, the diesel-powered M550d sedan and wagon and X5 and X6 M50d crossovers. Now word has it that BMW could follow a similar formula with the X4, creating a sub-M performance model.
What's more is that the X4 M Performance model could go diesel, following a similar formula that Audi undertook with its first performance crossover, the SQ5 TDI. The major difference here is that when Audi brought the SQ5 to these shores, it ditched the diesel for a gasoline engine. Could BMW do the same?

Automotive April Fools' joke roundup [w/videos]

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Happy April, everyone. And we all know what this first day of the month means: April Fools' Day. Today is a national holiday for pranksters with the Internet acting as a serious enabler, and it's always fun to see what kind of vivid imaginations exist out there in the automotive world. The abundance of fake news gets a little old as the day rolls on, but we did manage to get in a few chuckles thanks to a handful of major automakers and automotive news outlets that got into the pranking spirit this year
Some of our favorites this year includes Subaru showing what happens when you combine a bunch of rumors, a Corvette some may have already thought was a joke or Honda providing some in-car innovation circa the late 1980s. Honestly, we're still waiting for official confirmation from Mitsubishi that the recently introduced 2014 Mirage is an elaborate April Fools' joke using a failed design intended for the 1995 Geo Metro. We dug up as much "official" OEM foolishness we could find, as well as some of our other favorites, and posted them all below.

Ruby celebrates 90 years of BMW Motorrad with special helmet collection

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

BMW isn't the only one celebrating its own 90th anniversary building motorbikes. So is Atelier Ruby, that French manufacturer of jewel-like motorcycle helmets.
Ruby has just released a capsule collection of helmets marking BMW Motorrad's 90th anniversary, and we want them almost as much as a Bimmer bike itself. The Munich 90 collection includes three new designs available in three helmet styles, including the signature blue and red stripes on a white background worn by BMWs of two wheels or four on the racing circuit.
Of course, these helmets, being made by Ruby as they are, won't come cheap, with jaw-dropping prices ranging from $980 to $1,450. Of course there are more cost-effective ways to protect your noggin, but few more stylish.
