Very rare 1986 BMW 745IA, this model was never sold in the states, a very limited few were in imported/federalized for the states, car is loaded with all the top options, comes with with highline interior trim (basically leather stitched everything, door panels, dashboard, center console, everything), also has the extremely rare limousine style rear remote control for the radio and seats (see pictures) the large 6 cylinder with the factory turbo is rated at 252 horsepower with 380 nm of torque, this particular model had as much horsepower as the 80s U.S. version M5/M6 (they were rated at 256 horsepower), these vehicle had a whole lot more torque (the beauty of the factory turbo), this was also considered the fastest sedan for it's time. The best part is these vehicles have low turbo pressure 6psi, and I've read literature where you can double the power with a turbo pressure increase to 10 psi. The only book value is can find on this car is NADA.com, they're price listing is $6100 low retail, $10000 high retail, I imagine the value should be somewhere underder the $6k. Almost forgot to mention the car runs very good (the idle is rough on initial start but once it warms up its smooth), the ride is unbelievably butter smooth for a car this old, the engine, tranny and rear is tight, no smoke or oil coming from the exhaust pipe. I reserve the right to end the auction early if I reach an agreeable price with buyer. Any questions please call me at 910-494-7666 or email me at coorvette@hotmail.com Basically all this car really needs is a good paint job, re-upholster the front seats and dash board, leather treatment on the door panels and rear seats, a good oil change and it would be a good driver. Please see attached pictures

Wedding couple celebrates nuptials in the parking lot with donuts
Sat, 21 Dec 2013Weddings are often joyous, fun-filled occasions full of revelry and some serious celebrating. And while we appreciate the fact that a couple is being joined together, we have a feeling a video like this could have very easily ruined said couple's big day.
It stars a bride, a groom and a BMW M3. But rather than the couple being in the car and laying down some rubber, the E46 M3 is doing donuts around the couple. We shouldn't have to explain why this is a bad idea - even if the driver is competent, this could have gone wrong pretty easily. Still, it didn't, and the end result is pretty cool.
Take a look below and let us know what you think in Comments.
Are you a BMW M4 GTS track car in disguise?
Wed, 10 Sep 2014BMW is always happy to extract a little bit more gumption out of its M cars, just look at the latest 30th anniversary M5 or even the earlier CSL variants of the M3 for proof. Now, It looks like we might be getting the first glimpse of an even hotter M4, and it's wearing very interesting livery.
Our spies recently shot this M4 that could preview a future GTS version. It's all done up in MotoGP decals, but that might just be a ruse. This car sports a camouflaged lower air dam and rear wing, but those parts don't appear to be from an actual series safety car. The chin spoiler seems larger, and the rear wing is completely different. You can also spot an obvious Recaro logo on the driver's seat in one of the photos. Plus, the BMW emblem is removed at the back.
The disguised changes and odd choice of decals make this prototype incredibly weird. A BMW exec said at the beginning of the year that there were "no plans whatsoever to make a lighter, harder version just yet," of the M3 or M4, despite earlier rumors to the contrary. Check out the gallery to see what you think this is.
BMW X4 reclaims dash of utility with Clemson student project [w/videos]
Wed, 06 Aug 2014BMW seems willing to exploit every automotive niche it can find with creations like the four-door, 'crossover coupe' X4 and X6. Of course, these designs come with a compromise. That svelte fastback means that they just can't haul as much cargo as a more traditional, boxier hatchback. Fortunately, students at Clemson University's International Center for Automotive Research might have a novel solution: the engineering graduate program has turned the crossover into a unique pickup.
Dubbed Deep Orange 4 concept, this functional prototype has an enclosed cargo area with a sliding glass panel that opens up to expose a pickup bed if more room is needed. Think of it as the GMC Envoy XUV of German crossovers. This isn't just an X4 with its roof hacked off, though. The students actually started with an X3 and grafted on this top later in addition to the two barn doors for access to the bed.
To make this project even more impressive, this pickup-crossover could conceivably be produced. The graduate students conducted an in-plant analysis of BMW's manufacturing abilities and went back to the university to create a plan for a low-volume vehicle that could actually be built. "The students working on this phase of the project did an excellent job of keeping costs down while finding optimal integration opportunities," said Rich Morris, vice president of assembly at BMW Manufacturing, in the university's release.
