There can't be too many E32s at mileages this low. This BMW 735i has been part of my life for 23 years. My parents purchased the vehicle new in 1991. They kept it garaged and drove it only in good weather, averaging around 1000 miles per year. I purchased it from them in 2007, and likewise kept it either garaged or covered since then. It never became my primary car, so I never had the chance to really put the miles on it either.

This car is lovely inside and an incredibly comfortable highway cruiser. Tires are in good shape--no more than 5k miles on them. Aside from various wires, hoses, and belts that deteriorated with age, few repairs in its history. At one point several years ago, there must have been a short or some other electrical problem, because I had to have a number of relays replaced. I also had to have the drivers seat power adjustment repaired, because one of the main cables inside the seat broke. I had to replace the windshield due to a crack that formed.

There are several unrepaired issues on the exterior. First is a small white scuff on the chrome part of the left rear bumper--I suspect it could be buffed out. Second is a 1-2" ding on the top part of the right rear hood--a body shop told me that it could be fixed fairly easily. Third is wrinkling damage along the lower part of the right rear door (hit and run in a parking lot). The same body shop guy said in his view, it could not be repaired, the door would have to be replaced. It's actually fairly hard to photograph this door issue, because it is not a sharp dent but rather a sort of wavy wrinkle. Sometimes I don't notice it, but other times I do--depends on angle and light.

2015 BMW M4 Convertible will give the best bad hair days

BMW officially unveiled the 2015 M4 Convertible at the Javits Center in New York this morning. The droptop, which will slot in next to the M4 Coupe in BMW's performance line, offers infinitely more headroom, fresh air and sunshine for those that want a little more great outdoors and tousled hair with their M experience.
Visually, the M4 convertible is similar to the coupe, and carries on the hardtop's athletic stance with a long wheelbase, short front overhang, aerodynamic mirrors and in the case of this showcar, optional yellow-painted brake calipers. The car's expressive, angry face is perhaps the most notable aspect of its styling, screaming "get the hell out of my way!" with its signature twin-bar kidney grille, trio of air intakes and squinty LED headlights. Inside, the convertible employs three-temperature neck warmers (for chilly top-down days), an absurd amount of "M" logos and a wealth of luxury and technology features.
The rear-wheel-drive convertible uses the same engine as the coupe: a high-revving, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six producing 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. BMW says the car can make a 0-60 sprint in just 4.4 seconds when equipped with the manual.

Next BMW X6 to be larger, more aggressive

If the current BMW X6, introduced in 2008, is looking a bit too bland for your tastes, have no fear as the next-generation model is reportedly going to be larger and more aggressive than its predecessor.
Autocar is reporting that an insider has revealed the all-new second-generation X6 will make its world debut at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show, going on sale just after summer. More aggressive styling will help BMW distinguish its sportier X6 from BMW's more practical models, such as the X3 and X5, said the source.
The next X6 will again share platforms with the X5, but it will be stretched slightly to provide second-row passengers with more legroom. Powerplants will also likely mirror those of its mainstream cousin, including a range of turbocharged six- and eight-cylinder engines and a range-topping M model (the 2013 BMW X6 M is show above).

BMW reveals i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition ahead of Pebble Beach

If you want to be among the first owners in the United States of the new BMW i8, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be the place to be next Saturday. That's where Gooding & Company will auction off this one-of-a-kind hybrid supercar.
The BMW i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition was previously slated to be the very first i8 in North America, but has now apparently been downgraded to the guarantee of being among the firsts. In any event, it packs a series of special touches to make it unique. For starters, it's decked out in matte grey with unique brown leather upholstery, blue accents and Pure Impulse Tera World trim, with BMW i8 logos embossed into the headrests, special treat plates and the signatures of several key BMW personnel on the rear parcel shelf.
Pending government approval, it's set to be the first vehicle in the US fitted with laser headlights, and comes equipped with a special key, Louis Vuitton luggage and a "professional edition" BMW Charging Station.
