Well preserved & clean BMW 740iL. I bought this car in 2000 outside of Boston MA and its been in my family ever since. It has survived a couple of minor accidents, and your typical BMW repairs, all of which were performed by the same family mechanic over the last decade. (GHAZI AUTO REPAIR in MEDFIELD, MA)

The radio is aftermarket. The cupholder is broken. (shocker) The hood needs a little body work as right above the BMW decal its been scratched. Hopefully the photo does it justice, its not a major repair but one that should be done none the less. I can send more pics if needed.

The car has mostly highway miles on it as for the most part (the reason why the mileage is fairly low for a car this age) its been our family ski vehicle. So this car has been going from Boston to Jay Peak VT as its primary use case. Its for sale locally so the auction may end early. Call me if you have any questions....its a strong, solid, German car that has a lot of life left. These things sold for 75/80K new for a reason....they are tanks.

As you probably know, this car is not cheap to fix when something does break, but for right now...everything is running strong and we just returned home from another JAY trip this past wknd. My girlfriend just bought an X5 however so we have a new all wheel drive (diesel) ride for going north now, thats the only reason for selling.

Large trunk holds up to 3 pairs of ski's in Nordic Bag....and at least 3 to 4 full size golf bags. This thing would look sweet cruising into the country club on the wknds.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is ready for your favorite roads

We've known about the ins and outs of the lovely BMW M6 Gran Coupe for a while now, but that doesn't mean we weren't happy to see the thing in the metal for the first time, here in Detroit.
The M-tuned Gran Coupe utilizes the same 4.4-liter forced-induction V8 that powers both the BMW M6 and the M5, with an output of 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The fast four-door brings up 60 miles per hour in just 4.1-seconds - the same sprint time as the M6 coupe and a few tenths quicker than the M5 - and up to a limited top speed of 155 mph.
We love those performance figures - this is one new Bimmer that we're amped to get some seat time in - though we're not super crazy about the selection of chrome wheels on this particular show car. Tells us what you think about the hotted up Gran Coupe in comments, below.

BMW planning Chinese recall for engine part issue [w/video]

After receiving an unspecified number of complaints in China, BMW has reportedly started a "full investigation" into what may be a defective part in its VANOS engine control system. BMW said via a Chinese blog that it would file a recall application with the the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in China.
BMW has not yet announced how many vehicles will be recalled, or which models the potential recall might cover. We're also curious as to whether the VANOS issue could extend into markets outside of China.
