Private sale of my own 2001 BMW 740il. The car has 110000 on the odometer and has been extremely well cared for. The 2 tone cream/blue interior of the vehicle is in excellent shape and shows very little signs of wear..The interior carpeting shows no signs of wear at all. I do not have the original floor mats. Leather is cleaned and treated with Lexol products. Mechanically everything on the car is in working order, no warning lights, smoke, etc. A/C blows cold and heat works as well if needed. Car has heated seats and they work as well. Has wide screen Navigation system for which I do not have the discs. Have 2 main keys for vehicle and both of them work. Car has had some paint work due to minor incidents prior to my ownership. The exterior is not perfect and shows some signs of wear over the years, scratches etc (see pics.) All windows on the car work flawlessly including the sunroof. There are a few typical minor issues such as the front cup holder which gave up on me a few weeks ago and the ashtray closes but not aligned properly i think (dont smoke). Windshield had a small rock chip in the bottom left hand corner that was repaired and guaranteed not to crack. The windhshield trim on top is cracked an partially gone (see pic) which also seems to be a typical issue. The left rear speaker makes a crackling sound at volume not sure but the speaker is probably bad.

BMW Concept Roadster has two fewer wheels than we were expecting
Fri, 23 May 2014The annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como is an opportunity for some of the most beautiful vehicles in the world to descend on one of the poshest places on earth each year. Unsurprisingly, the event is also increasingly the chance for automakers to debut exclusive concepts to some of the wealthiest auto enthusiasts in the world. In the last few years, BMW has become the masters of this annual unveiling with automotive concepts like the Gran Lusso Coupé, BMW Zagato Coupe and motorcycles like the the gorgeous Concept 90, not to mention the just-revealed Mini Superleggera Vision. But this year the Bavarian automaker has been somewhat tricky.
What would you first think when you heard of the BMW Concept Roadster? A lithe, two-seat convertible? Nope. This roadster is a cut-down, minimalist motorcycle with an ultra-modern design. As opposed to the retro looks of the Concept 90, this naked bike looks like it could fit in a BMW showroom tomorrow and not seem out of place.
The Concept Roadster packs the brand's classic two-cylinder boxer engine displacing 1,170 cubic centimeters and producing 123 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque. That power is routed to the rear wheel via a cardan drive, essentially a driveshaft, with a single-sided swing arm rear suspension. It's all nestled in a tubular spaceframe.
BMW 1 Series GT morphs into production-spec 225i Active Tourer
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Based on the effort - and money - BMW is spending to break off the coupes and convertibles in its lineup as even-numbered models (like the new 2 Series and 4 Series), we figured the production version of the 2012 Concept Active Tourer was a lock to wear the 1 Series GT name. These spy shots paint a different picture, however, as they show the car seemingly in full showroom-ready trim during a photo shoot, wearing the 225i name indicating that it will be in the 2 Series family.
While it's still very possible that this badging is the final bit of trickery for disguising the front-wheel-drive 1 Series GT, the hatchback itself appears to be the real deal. Aside from new fascias, a smaller grille and slightly different lights, the styling of this "225i" stayed pretty true to the Concept Active Tourer. Thanks to our long-lensed photographer, we also get a brief glimpse inside the hatchback, which reveals a two-tiered instrument panel layout including the free-standing navigation display that is similar to the concept car.
Regardless of what name this new model will wear, expect it to be unveiled at next year's Geneva Motor Show in March before arriving in the US sometime in 2015.
BMW 2 Series Active Tourer corners surprisingly flat on 'Ring
Mon, 07 Jul 2014With seven seats and front-wheel drive, you might not expect the upcoming long-wheelbase version of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer to live up to the Ultimate Driving Machine reputation that BMW has fostered over the years. But the latest spy clip from the Nürburgring suggests otherwise.
The Bavarian automaker has apparently been testing its new people mover on the Nordschleife, getting it ready to join the growing 2 Series family. And though it's wearing heavy camouflage, we can clearly see from the video below that it's cornering impressively flat - which bodes well for those who'll need to transport their expanding family but aren't prepared to give up on handling.
