New Sarepta, AB, Canada

This is  Canadian original car, never winter driven, currently residing near Edmonton Alberta

This vintage luxury sports coup is in excellent condition, no rust or dents, I have driven it only once to the car show this year as that is the exceptional condition that it is in inside and out

This car is one of the very few with a 6spd manual gearbox. I am not sure what all to say here as the pictures should speak for themselves.

I just installed brand new tires due to age cracks in the ones that were on it.

the only negative to the car is a crack in the passenger side of the windshield, I have chosen not to replace as It is a original BMW windshield and will leave that to the new owner.

Please contact me with questions and I will try to answer them in a timely manner, car can be viewed apon request,

bidders, I reserve the right to end auction early as I also have listed locally.

note, the spots on the bumper if you zoom in are bugs. as the pictures were taken after the car show. Ill see if I can figure out how to upload a video.

BMW 1 Series sedan prepares to fight Mercedes CLA, Audi A3

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

The entry-level premium sedan segment is pretty hot right now, with the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class doing well for their respective automakers here in the US. Of course, BMW has its 2 Series, but that's currently only available as a coupe, with a convertible bodystyle forthcoming. That all looks to change, however, as our spies recently caught BMW testing a four-door 1 Series sedan that seems to have the A3 and CLA clear in its sight.
BMW's entry-level four-door is expected to ride on the same front-wheel-drive UKL platform that we recently spied in Mini Countryman form. We're pretty sure this thing will launch under the 1 Series line (odds for sedans and wagons, evens for coupes and convertibles), but it's anyone's guess with BMW - after all, the five-door, front-drive Active Tourer wears a 2 Series nameplate.
Look for the 1 Series sedan to launch sometime in 2016 as a 2017 model. Better late than never in the entry-lux segment, we suppose.

BMW Gets Much Closer To The GT Look And Feel It Seeks
The 2014 BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is being launched to a pretty cynical automotive press brigade. You know it. We know it. Heck, even BMW knows it. We've just returned from driving it on the rather unforgiving and sometimes nasty roads of Sicily, and even before we got behind the wheel, many of our media colleagues were busying themselves doubting the 3 GT's very raison d'être. So, despite the always excellent Sicilian hospitality, the day's atmosphere was kind of fragile.
While the press in attendance seemed determined to nail every product expert to the wall for having been even tangentially associated with the larger 5 Series Gran Turismo, it seemed that BMW decided ahead of time to not introduce such a sensitive discussion topic. That strategy would do little to smooth things over as everyone started digging for dirt on BMW's so far clumsy Gran Turismo franchise.
