I am looking to sell my 2007 Alpine White BMW M6. This vehicle was a dream car of mine and I recently just found out that my place of employment is closing down soon so I have to start selling the vehicles I have. My wife and I have only had the vehicle for not even 2 weeks, it was very unexpected but we also have a son we that is why we are selling it. We purchased the vehicle from a local private owner who was very particular about his car and it shows when you see the car in person. The Exterior/Interior are in very good condition for a 2007. The vehicle currently has about 42,500 miles on it which is pretty low for the year. The previous owner had told me that the vehicle has only seen rain twice since he owned it and the reason that he was selling it was because he never has time to drive it. When I purchased the car from him and saw how great it looked I wanted to keep the car in the same exact condition as he had it in, if not better. Since my wife and I have had the car, we keep it in the garage and I only drive it maybe 2 times a week, as long as the weather is nice outside. Anyone who is interested in this car I highly recommend looking into a aftermarket warranty. I came in contact with several companies that would cover the vehicle for a very good rate only because of the low mileage. The previous owner had the heads and clutch for the SMG2 replaced before it was sold to me. I believe he had a aftermarket warranty for the car while he owned it. BMW shows up-armored X5 concept and we can't get near it
Wed, 11 Sep 2013BMW has brought a slightly different concept vehicle to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Rather than something that foreshadows a future product or a new design direction, the Munich-based manufacturer has brought an X5 that's designed to be shot at. It's called the Concept X5 Security Plus. The Concept X5 name is a bit misleading, though. It's based on the 2014 X5, while BMW already builds an armored CUV, called the X5 Security. The concept tag has to do with the "Security Plus" part.
Engineered to be compliant with VR6 security standards - the current X5 Security is for VR4 standards - the Concept X5 will quite happily shrug off direct attacks from an AK-47. Thanks to sealed joints, high-strength steel moldings, high-performance steel body panels and special, polycarbonate-coated security glass, Kalashnikov's finest, whether used as a firearm or as a melee weapon, would be useless against this X5.
Built alongside the standard X5 in BMW's Spartanburg, SC factory, the X5 is shipped to a BMW facility in Toluca, Mexico for installation of the armor and security features. The company claims this delivers a more thoroughly engineered protective solution than aftermarket retrofitting.

His argument was that Lincoln lacked the unique DNA to differentiate it from the rest of the market, although the arrival of the MKZ is beginning to change that. Now, we have this video from Autoline Detroit, where Jim Hall, an analyst for 2953 Analytics who was quoted in yesterday's Lincoln story, explains the influence of certain styling cues and how they impact the brands.
Using BMW (Angel Eyes) and Buick (Ventiports) as examples for small, simple touches that serve to distinguish the brand's vehicles on the road, Hall then points out how changing trademark styling features, as Chevrolet has done on the new Corvette Stingray, can hurt the vehicle's public perception. Jay Leno puts focus on some retro-inspired BMW bikes
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Jay Leno puts eight wheels on display this week for Jay Leno's Garage from a quartet of retro-inspired BMW motorcycles. They are the creations of husband and wife team Larry and Carol Romestant, who build each one in their home garage.
Larry is a former aerospace engineer who loves BMW bikes, especially the K models. Now, he's combining his passion with a real talent for fabrication to build his own cycles with his wife. With Larry and Carol the only ones working on these projects, it takes them six to nine months to build each one. In addition to the old-school looks, the motorcycles are supposed to be a bit more user friendly than stock. For example, one of them ditches the standard five-speed gearbox in favor of a six-speed unit to be a little more comfy when cruising at high speeds.
