One Of The Fastest Pump Gas Stock Block Grand Nationals In The Country on 2040-cars
Springfield, New Jersey, United States
This car was built with the best of everything, and is currently one of the fastest turbobuick.com pump gas/alcohol injection stock block turbo buicks in the country. From forged engine components for a bullet proof bottom end to 4 piston caliper disc brakes all around...this car has it all. I bought this car about 4 years ago and built it over the past few years to be a good driver and also perform well at the racetrack. I have gone a best of 9.90 at 137 mph in the quarter mile on 93 octane with progressive alcohol injection. The body is in good shape with no major damage to the body panels although there is some rust spots in thea areas pictured, the paint is decent when cleaned up and still shines- id rate it a 6 out of 10. Interior is all there as you can see, i have removed the radio and hvac controls which now houses the XFI computer. It currently has a GNX replica dash cluster made by AVC but i still have the original cluster that will go with the car. All engine parameters are tuneable via laptop, his is a turn key race car or cruiser with nothing being needed for either situation. Feel free to contact me if you will like to talk about this vehicle..there is honestly too much to list. Car is NHRA legal to 10.0 or 135mph with current 6pt roll bar. Everything on this car has has been replaced/upgraded since ive owned it.

Buick shows US dealers 2016 Cascada convertible
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The affordable four-seat convertible has become a largely forgotten genre in the States, especially with the death of the Chrysler 200 Convertible. Of course, there are still premium options from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz - not to mention more overtly performance-oriented droptop pony cars from Chevrolet and Ford - but if you want an affordable cruiser, you're kind of out of luck. That may be about to change, however, with renewed rumors of the Opel Cascada (pictured above) making it across the Atlantic wearing a Buick badge.
According to GM Inside News, Buick showed off the Cascada to US dealers last week, with renewed word that the company plans to bring it over from Europe for the 2016 model year. The US version will reportedly be practically identical to its German cousin in terms of styling, but the powertrain underneath is less certain. According to GMI, it may use the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is available in Europe with either 168 horsepower or 197 hp.
The Cascada rides on GM's Delta II platform, which also underpins the Verano, and the latest rumor certainly provides even more evidence that the convertible is probably on the way. Speculation about the droptop started when GM CEO Dan Akerson said last year that the car was on his wish list to bring over. Then, the US trademark on the name was reserved earlier this year, and the release was speculated for sometime in early 2016.
GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
Consumer Reports says infotainment systems 'growing first-year reliability plague'
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey (right) is out, and the top two spots look much the same as last year's list with Lexus and Toyota in first and second place, respectively. However, there are some major shakeups for 2014, with Acura plunging eight spots from third in 2013 to 11th this year, and Mazda replaces it on the lowest step of the podium. Honda and Audi round out the top five. This year's list includes six Japanese brands in the top 10, two Europeans, one America and one Korean.
Acura isn't the only one taking a tumble, though. Infiniti is the biggest loser this year by dropping 14 spots to 20th place. Other big losses come from Mercedes-Benz with an 11-place fall to 24th, and GMC, which declines 10 positions to 19th.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's not traditional mechanical bugs hauling down these automaker's reliability scores. Instead, pesky problems with infotainment systems are taking a series toll on the rankings. According to Consumer Reports, complaints about "in-car electronics" were the most grumbled about element in new cars. Problem areas included things like unresponsive touchscreens, issues pairing phones and multi-use controllers that refused to work right.
