2002 Buick Lesabre Limited Sedan 4-door 3.8l - 1 Owner - Spca Donation on 2040-cars
Martinsville, Virginia, United States
1 owner - 2002 Lesabre Limited - 78,000 miles - donated to the Martinsville - Henry County Va. SPCA - we are a no kill shelter working toward a no kill community - all proceeds to the SPCA - this car generously donated by a member of our Board of Directors - purchased locally - the car runs great - heated mirror - memory seats w/ power on both sides - heated seats - CD player with steering wheel mounted controls for the system - climate control - passenger side temp control - sentinel headlights - interior in excellent condition - one tire appears to have been overinflated and has developed 'cupping' causing some noise from that tire - tires have at least half tread - I want to list all the negatives - the dash pad has come loose and needs to be refitted - a rear passenger door window has come out of the track - this just happened and I suspect that the window had never been down - one tail light is partially broken - some scratches on one door that may be vandalism from a key scratch - one wheel hub cover is missing - some minor scuffing on the lower rear quarter panel on the vinyl bumper - not damaged but the paint would require touch up - this car runs and drives great - all power options appear to be working - I invite any questions and prior inspections are welcome - my pricing is based largely on KBB private party sale taking into account the minor repairs needed - as this sale is for the SPCA I am requesting a $250.00 deposit via paypal at the conclusion of the auction - If the vehicle does not meet your expectations upon personal inspection - you may walk away and forfeit only $100.00 - I believe this is fair to all parties -the title you will receive is in the name of the SPCA -

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
