This has been my wife's daily driver for several years. We bought it with about 110000 miles and it has been very reliable throughout the years. She bought a new car, and luck would have it, I started driving it and within 3 days the engine started making noise. The car still runs and drives, however, there is noise in the engine. I checked the oil and it was full and clean. I checked the antifreeze and it was full and clean. I am not a mechanic, but the engine needs some sort of repair. The body is in good shape with a small rust spot on the passenger side rear wheel opening and there is a small scuff in the front of the drivers side front fender. See the pictures for these. The pictures are taken with NO CLEANUP at all. No wash, no vacuum, I just took everything out and took the pictures. There are some lights inside that do not work, however, the air conditioning, power windows, and everything else all work. My wife told me that the heated seat on the drivers side did not work last winter though. I did not take this to a mechanic as she has already bought a new car and we do not need it. Some work and it would be a great car for someone. This Lesabre Limited has bucket seats and a center console. I have never seen one with buckets and the dealer said they have only seen one. It is apparently a rare option and makes it as sporty as a Lesabre can be. I am interested in keeping the front seats if the buyer is interested for a price.

Buick Encore takes a hit of Mokka to tackle Dakar
Wed, 03 Sep 2014There are many vehicles we'd consider taking racing. Even on a cross-country rally as punishing as the Dakar. But a Buick Encore? That's not one that would enter our motorsports-based consciousness. Yet it's basically what General Motors is entering in the South American rally raid this year, and you're looking at it.
Unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show, this rally machine is based on (or at least billed as) an Opel Mokka - the name that GM's European brand applies to the vehicle Americans know as the Encore, Buick's subcompact crossover. Only it's obviously been extensively modified. It's got a ten-inch raised suspension, a 137-gallon fuel tank, carbon-fiber bodywork and... hold on, we're sure we're missing something here. Oh, right: a 6.2-liter V8 kicking out 340 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.
In other words, this is not the same Encore (or Mokka) you can pick up at your local Buick, Opel or Vauxhall dealership. It's not even close. It's not even recognizable as such, really. It was unveiled alongside a more sedate Opel Mokka Moscow Edition and a slew of other local debuts for the Opel brand that you can read more about in the (translated and original) Russian press release below.
2013 Buick Encore

We admit it. We have no earthly idea how this whole thing is going to shake out.
Typically, after driving a new car or truck, we come away prepared to hazard a guess as to whether said model has a good chance of being a sales success. We've amassed enough time watching the industry, scrutinizing the competitors, and so on, to make a reasonably educated bet. Yet here we are, days removed from driving the new 2013 Buick Encore, and we still have no bloody idea.
GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
