1988 Buick Reatta Coupe on 2040-cars
Arlington, Vermont, United States
This vehicle is registered in Vermont, and inspected and on the road. Vermont does not title vehicles older than 15 years, so it is sold with a transferable registration and a bill of sale. I think that I have the former owner's title somewhere in a file in my house there. Should you wish to inspect the car or have it inspected by a mechanic, plesase call 914 525 7000. at present the car is in Scarsdale NY since I drove it down last week, but will be going back up to my second house in Arlington Vermont, an hour east of Albany within the next week. If you are not happy with the vehicle on pick up, I will refund all but $100 of your money. I would like to be paid in full by pick up, with a cashier's check, or cash or transfer. Will take a personal check if we have enough time for it to clear before pick up. I would like a deposit by PayPal of $500.00 and the balance within ten days. These cars are relatively scarce, this is a good looking one, does not look like a new one, ie totally restored, but it is as good as the photos and it runs well, never left me by the side of the road. I have had it at least five years, forget where it came from.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

2013 Buick Encore
Mon, 10 Dec 2012City, Slicker
We admit it. We have no earthly idea how this whole thing is going to shake out.
Typically, after driving a new car or truck, we come away prepared to hazard a guess as to whether said model has a good chance of being a sales success. We've amassed enough time watching the industry, scrutinizing the competitors, and so on, to make a reasonably educated bet. Yet here we are, days removed from driving the new 2013 Buick Encore, and we still have no bloody idea.
GM recalling 1.5M cars in China for faulty bracket
Fri, 27 Dec 2013General Motors and its Chinese partners have announced their second recall in the People's Republic this year, following a 2,653-unit recall of the Cadillac SRX earlier this year. This latest recall affects nearly 1.5 million cars built between 2006 and 2012. It's not explicitly stated, but as there's no movement from the US NHTSA, we suspect that the cars in question were all Chinese-built rather than imports.
The vast majority of the affected vehicles are Buick Excelles (pictured), with 1.2 million units being recalled over a faulty bracket that's meant to secure the fuel pump. The Excelles in question were built between 2006 and 2012, while an additional 250,000 Chevrolet Sail superminis, built between April 2009 and October 2011, are being recalled for a similar reason.
According to the PRC's Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the faulty bracket could crack and potentially cause a fuel leak.
