1986 BUICK REGAL. 307 V-8 ENGINE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. FACTORY T-TOPS, BUCKET SEATS AND AUTOMATIC IN THE FLOOR. NEWER TIRES,BRAKES AND SHOCKS. CARPET AND INTERIOR IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE. ONE TEAR ON SIDE OF DRIVERS SIDE SEAT AND TWO SMALL CRACKS ON THE DASH. THERE IS NO FADING ON THE INTERIOR ANY WHERE. BODY IS RUST FREE AND IN REALLY GOOD CONDITION. HAS SOME SMALL PLACES ON THE FRONT NOSE THAT SOME HAVE BEEN TOUCHED UP BY PREVIOUS OWNER. IVE INCLUDED PICTURES OF ALL THE TOUCH UPS. HAVE THE FACTORY GM BLACK COVERS FOR T-TOPS THAT APPEAR TO HAVE NEVER BEEN USED. HAS THE FACTORY BUICK RALLY WHEELS THAT WERE ORDERED TO MATCH THE CARS PAINT. STILL HAS FACTORY CASSETTE PLAYER THAT WORKS AND STILL HAS THE PROTECTIVE FILM. EVERYTHING WORKS JUST LIKE IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY. AIR CONDITIONING BLOWS COLD. How to hack a Buick Regal with CarKnow
Thu, 08 Aug 2013If you own an Apple iPhone or Android device, perhaps you've been tempted to jailbreak or root it. This process gives you access to the the software's code, and can be used to make minor or drastic changes to its operating system. CarKnow, a company in Boston, is working applying a similar concept to the automobile.
Translogic recently took a look inside CarKnow to see just how it can tweak the computers inside a car and what sort of things can be done. As our transportation tech sister site explains, CarKnow basically created a digital duplicate of their Buick Regal in the cloud, while harvesting data generated to create custom apps and infiltrate the deepest function of their test car.
And before you freak out about people maliciously taking over your car, CarKnow's founder, Josh Siegel, stresses that it isn't quite so easy as driving up alongside someone. Take a look at the full video below to see just what it's like to jailbreak a car.

GM's bid to rationalize Europe will impact the products that will be offered domestically.
It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.
KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners
Sat, 30 Mar 2013The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.
