For sale is an immaculate condition 2005 Buick Rendezvous CXL Crossover SUV with all the bells and whistles and an excellent maintenance history. I purchased this vehicle in 2010 from a private dealership and became its second owner. It has served my wife and I well during our time in the Pacific Northwest where it has served as her daily driver on a mostly highway, 50 mile round trip transit a few days a week. This car has been babied by us with regular washes, periodic maintenance (including regular oil changes w/ high mileage oil), and kept in a garage for the majority of its time with us. We've decided to upgrade to a full size SUV and that is why we're selling it.
The best way to get a feel for this vehicle is to view the build sheet for it in the photos section. Some of the highlights of this car include: - Heated leather seats with 3rd row seating option included for a total of 8 person capacity. - Heads Up Display (HUD) allows for driver to keep eyes on the road while maintaining awareness of vehicle speed, radio station, and caution and warning lights. - Good gas mileage for its size (averaging 23 MPG) - Very comfortable ride (think Buick) with a great capacity for cargo carrying. An excellent choice for cross country trips. The downsides to this vehicle are few, but for me are as follows: - It isn't a true SUV. Its AWD system functions effectively but independently of the driver whenever the car detects slipping traction from any of the tires - It doesn't have a sunroof. - It has more than 100,000 miles. In the 50,000 miles we've owner this vehicle the following maintenance actions have been performed: - Oil changed every 4,000 miles or as directed by onboard oil life indicating system. - Transmission fluid changed according to maintenance schedule. - Replaced Front and Rear Brake Pads Pads at 80,000 miles, replaced Front Pads & Rotors and Rear Pads at 125,000. - Full transmission rebuild (including new torque converter) at 115,000 miles. New transmission has 2 yr/20,000 mi. warranty transferable to new owner. - New serpentine belt Oct 2013 - New tires installed May 2013 - New catalytic converter installed Oct 2013 Current Maintenance Issues: - Dealership identified that power steering pump is leaking an will eventually need to be replaced. Overall, this is a beautiful Buick that has been taken care of meticulously by my wife and I and can meet a variety of different lifestyles and hobbies. Shipping will be the responsibility of the seller. I look forward to any questions you may have. I have many more photos available upon request as well as videos if desired. |

2014 Buick Regal gets the party rolling in NY
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Although the first day of the 2013 New York Auto Show kicks off bright and early this morning, Buick got a jump on the competition by unveiling the 2014 Buick Regal lineup last night. While the Regal received many upgrades for the 2014 model year, most of our attention was focused on the sedan's drivetrain.
When the new Regal hits dealers this fall, buyers opting for the new Regal Turbo will be welcomed by an additional 39 horsepower and 35 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter turbo engine; the 2014 Regal GS now features the same output of 259 hp and 295 lb-ft, meaning that it has actually lost 11 hp over the 2013 model year. Buick says the reason for the GS' power loss comes from the fact that the newly available all-wheel-drive system forced the car to use a smaller diameter exhaust system, but representatives on hand assured us that the reduction of horsepower won't affect the car's performance and could even help improve fuel economy. And who knows? Maybe downgrading the power of the Regal GS also helps create a little breathing room for a future Grand National or GNX model...
Although the power under the hood is now the same, it is still impossible to confuse the two cars from the outside. Minor updates give both a fresher look, but the Regal GS has an unmistakeable aggression to it. The GS' interior also helps it stand apart from lower Regal trim levels with an eight-inch configurable gauge cluster similar to what is offered in the 2014 LaCrosse. The cabin of the Regal wasn't given an extensive makeover like the LaCrosse received, but the upgraded IntelliLink infotainment system and the cleaner center stack and steering wheel controls are appreciated changes.
Opel to be shuttered in China, but will restart Buick production in Germany
Fri, 28 Mar 2014Opel, General Motors' troubled German brand continues its quest to reinvent itself and find solid profitability. In the course of that metamorphosis, the company has a bit of good news/bad news today. The good news is, it will once again begin screwing together Buick models for the American market. The bad news, though, is that it's being shut down in yet another country, China.
Let's start with the good news. The last vehicle Opel's Ruesselsheim factory built for the North American market was the early run of the then-new Regal, which is based heavily on the Opel Insignia. Production ran for just over two years, from 2009 to 2011, before moving production to Oshawa, Ontario.
Now, thanks to a 245-million-euro investment (just over $336 million), Opel will kick off production of a unspecified model for the US in the "second half of the decade," according to Automotive News. According to Opel, the new model will be announced before the end of 2014. You can begin your speculation about this new model down in Comments (we're wagering it'll be the Cascada convertible, sold here under the Buick umbrella).
eBay Find of the Day: 1981 DeLorean with 570-hp twin-turbo Buick V6 [w/videos]
Mon, 23 Dec 2013"Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" So asked one Marty McFly of his mentor Dr. Emmett Brown, who replied: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"
Doc Brown was right, of course: with an exotic mid-engine layout, gullwing doors and stainless steel body, the DeLorean DMC-12 sure looked the part. It just needed a little more juice. Well this one might not have 1.21 gigawatts of time-bending power - that'd be more than one and a half million horsepower - but it does have more than the 150 hp in the the standard 2.8-liter V6.
That's because this particular DeLorean has had its stock Peugeot Renault Volvo engine swapped out for a Buick-sourced, all-aluminum, 4.3-liter V6 from the Grand National. Dutteiller Performance didn't leave the engine in stock form, either: while they were swapping it out, they added a pair of turbochargers, new pistons, crank, cams and much, much more.
