1967 BUICK RIVIERA WITH 88K ORIGINAL MILES. REPAINTED 2 YEARS AGO. NEW CARPET & SEAT UPHOLSTERY INSTALLED EARLIER THIS YEAR. THIS CAR IS A REAL EYE CATCHER! STRAIGHT & SOLID. IT WAS STRIPPED TO BARE METAL PRIOR TO THE REPAINT. PPG BASE COAT CLEAR COAT WAS USED. ***F.Y.I. THE WHITE STUFF YOU SEE ON THE CAR IS A REFLECTION OF THE CLOUDS.*** STARTS EASY. RUNS & DRIVES VERY GOOD. HOWEVER, THE RIGHT SIDE EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. IT DEVELOPED A LEAK EARLIER THIS YEAR. THE REST OF THE DUAL EXHAUST IS OLDER. BUT IN GOOD CONDITION. ISSUES THAT ANY BUYER MAY WANT TO ADDRESS.. 1)THE METAL A/C LINE FROM THE DRIER TO THE EVAPORATOR WILL NEED REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. SO THE A/C IS NOT CHARGED & DOES NOT BLOW COLD. 2)THE INTERIOR REAR SAIL PANELS HAVE PULLED AWAY FROM THE REAR WINDOW MOLDINGS. 3) DRIVER SIDE REAR COURTESY LAMP LENS IS MISSING. 4) RIGHT REAR WINDOW NEEDS A ROLLER. THE MOTOR IS GOOD & WINDOW CAN BE OPENED/CLOSED MANUALLY. 5) THE HOOD HINGE SPRINGS ARE WEAK & NEED REPLACING. 6) THERE IS A MINOR DENT ON THE INNER LOWER LIP OF THE DECK LID.. JUST ABOVE THE LICENSE PLATE. IT CAUSES THE MOLDING TO NOT SEAT PROPERLY. IT'S ONLY NOTICEABLE UP CLOSE IF YOU LOOK FOR IT. I BELIEVE THESE ARE ALL MINOR ISSUES. Buick Envision spied fully disrobed in China
Wed, 27 Aug 2014The Buick Envision crossover is supposed to have its big reveal on August 28 and be on display at the Chengdu Motor Show, but apparently the new midsize crossover just can't wait to meet its public. Car News China caught a completely undisguised example parking outside of the convention center where the show is held.
The Buick designers are going right down the middle with the styling with nothing too flashy to turn off potential buyers. Still, it's a handsome CUV that kind of looks like a stretched Encore from some angles with vents along the hood, a large greenhouse and a prominent crease running down the side.
This new midsizer is hitting the Chinese market first and reportedly rides on GM's Delta platform that's also found underneath the Buick Verano. According to Car News China, prices there are between 160,000 yuan and 220,000 yuan ($26,000 - $35,800 at current rates). However, it's also rumored to eventually make its way across the Pacific to give Buick buyers in the US an option between the Encore compact crossover and larger Enclave.
GM delivers best Q3 sales since 1980, 2.4M vehicles sold

Even after registering over 70 recalls through the first three-quarters of 2014, General Motors saw its best Q3 results since Jimmy Carter was in the White House, registering over 2.4 million global sales between June and September on the back of strong results in the US and China.
US sales were marshaled by good results for GM's pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, which bumped the manufacturer's truck market share to 35.6 percent, up nearly three points from Q1 2014. Buick has seen healthy growth as well, with the Encore dominating its segment for the sixth month running.
It was China, though, that really bolstered GM's sales, as the company's efforts to top last year's record-setting 3.16 million units continued apace. Small SUV sales saw massive growth, with Encore, Chevrolet Trax and Captiva figures jumping 90 percent in Q3. Brand-wise, Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick all saw sales gains in the PRC, with each recording double-digit year-over-year jumps. Cadillac sales alone were up 63 percent compared to the first nine months of 2013.
Opel Insignia OPC getting facelift. Will the Buick Regal GS see it, too?
Tue, 07 Aug 2012We've seen spy shots of the base Opel Insignia wearing facelifted front and rear ends, and now it appears that the more potent OPC version will be benefitting from a nip/tuck, as well.
The front bumper has been redesigned, incorporating new air intakes - toned-down versions of the model's signature fangs - as well as a new grille. Out back, there will be minimal changes to the overall fascia, most likely stuff like slightly redesigned taillamps, and inside, these spy shots show a larger navigation/infotainment screen sitting atop the center console.
This is all well and good for the Insignia, but we're wondering how these changes will impact North America's Buick Regal GS. No, it may not share the same powertrain punch as the Euro-spec OPC, but visually, the cars are nearly identical. When questioned about possible changes for the GS, a Buick spokesperson told us that the automaker "can't comment" on any changes at this point. Even so, we wouldn't be surprised if some small changes come our way in the next year or so.
