1993 CADILLAC ALLANTE - 4.6L NORTHSTAR V8 - MUSEUM QUALITY

This beautiful 1993 Cadillac Allante convertible is in excellent condition inside and out.  It has only 41,000 miles (average of 1,952 miles per year).  It was originally sold in Pennsylvania, then to a Florida auto museum for public display, and unto a Minnesota private party in 2013.  This car is truly one of a kind and, being in an auto museum, is the perfect example of the beauty created by Pinnafarina and the mechanical breakthroughs that were introduced in the 1993 Allante to be used in many other Cadillac models for years.

The mechanical breakthroughs introduced in the 1993 Allante included the famous Northstar 32 valve 295 horsepower V8.  This powerful engine provides great performance to the car while sipping only 20 MPG highway.  Other new mechanical features included a new 4 speed automatic transmission, new traction control, and a new road sensing adaptive suspension.

This 1993 Allante is loaded with all of the options available in 1993;

4.6L 32 valve Northstar V8
4 Speed Automatic Transmission
Power Everything (steering, windows,top)
Air Conditioning with Climate Control
Leather Bucket Seats
Custom Alloy Wheels
Power Convertible Top
Hardtop
CD Sound System
Factory Special Paint (Firemist Red)
Digital Dash

It has original paint that is in excellent condition and is scratch and dent free.  Everything works on the car.

The bodies of these cars wer designed and built by the Italian design firm Pininfarina.  The chassis were built in the U.S., then shipped to Italy to be bodied and then shipped back to the U.S. for sale.  1993 is the last and best year for the Allante making it the most collectable.

Cadillac toned down ATS Coupe design due to customer feedback [w/poll]

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

Automakers always face a difficult decision when it comes to styling their cars. Design them too blandly and nobody will get excited about them. But style them too aggressively and they'll often end up turning off potential buyers.
Cadillac, for its part, is no stranger to aggressive design, but when it came to the new ATS Coupe, it elected to tone things down a bit. Speaking with The Detroit News in a wide-ranging interview, Cadillac design director Bob Boniface revealed that the original design for its compact coupe was edgier - closer to that of the CTS Coupe - with a wedgier profile, a more steeply raked beltline and a more severe grille. But potential customers surveyed in clinics apparently didn't like it. They found it looked heavy, inefficient and not fun to drive. So Boniface and his team literally went back to the drawing board and "took as much visual mass out of the car as [they] could." The resulting coupe, while handsome, looks far more similar to its four-door companion than did Cadillac's CTS.
What do you think, does the new ATS Coupe look just right, or is it too conservative? Voice your opinion in our quick online poll.

2015 Cadillac ATS sedan gets early reveal in making-of video

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Cadillac is apparently preparing to roll out a minor facelift for the ATS sedan - which we know not because General Motors has already revealed it or because we're looking at it in a fresh batch of spy shots (though we've seen that too), but because a behind-the-scenes video from the filming of its commercial has leaked out online. Which may be bad news for Cadillac, and even worse news for the film production company, but good news for us, because we get to see it ahead of schedule.
The revised sports sedan seems to be sporting a new front bumper and less egg-cratey grille with Caddy's new wreath-less badge at its center, all apparently put in place to bring the sedan more in line with the new ATS coupe.
We're sure Cadillac will be revealing the updated 2015 ATS sedan shortly, but you can scope it out right now in the video below. By way of comparison, we've included an image gallery of the current ATS, released back in 2013, as well.
