This is a good old car that I fixed up several years back for my mother. She has passed away and the car has just been sitting around for 5 or so years, except for the occasional drive to town and back.
It was originally a 4.1 equipped car but the cam gave out years ago and I replaced it with a 5.0 (307) Oldsmobile engine. The engine came out of a '80's Cutlass 442 that had been wrecked with low miles. A lot of new parts were installed when I changed the engine like water pump, fuel pump, tune-up, brakes, alt, new tires, ect. And it didnt get driven much after that. I had a new headliner put in it and had it repainted about 8 years ago and the paint is showing signs of its age having been sitting out in the sun all the time. The car starts up, runs, rides, and drives, great. I had new fiberglass fender extensions installed on the front and the left rear when it was painted and soon after the right rear (that seemed solid) fell apart, so that one is missing.
Heres the bad: The belts squeal nearly all the time and it is missing the ac belt. Everything worked on the car when I stopped driving it regularly but now the windows and power seats are getting so they are slow or wont work at all sometimes. The top needs replaced as you can see from the pics. The car needs tinkered with and driven more than anything. Other than the belts I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. I hate to sell it but I dont have time to maintain the car and give it the attention it deserves.
Please feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking

Playboy reveals its 2013 Cars of the Year
Thu, 20 Dec 2012Vaunted men's magazine Playboy knows that its readers are nearly as interested in cars as they are in the female anatomy... sorry, we thought we could write that with a straight face. Anyway, the buff-book does occasionally fill some of its spreads with sexy metal, to accent all the rest of the sexiness.
To wit, the magazine has unveiled its feature on the 2013 Cars of the Year. Without giving us much in the way of criteria for the awards, nor a clear framing of the categories ("Responsible Ride" is a particularly challenging concept, especially when you consider that the Mazdaspeed3 was the winner), Playboy has nevertheless highlighted what we assume to be it's favorite 12 or 13 (depending on how you count) cars from the 2013 model year.
Headlining the class is the Porsche 911, which Playboy writers single out for having "remarkable electronic voodoo." BMW M5 is named "Slickest Sports Sedan" though the Cadillac ATS then follows on because "we couldn't resist giving the new Caddy a shout-out." The rest of the picks are pretty conventional (save, perhaps, the Honda Fit EV as "Ace Electric"), even if the categories and methodology are fairly wonky. Cruise through or gallery for a taste or check out the full list, here. The site is safe for work, and you can legitimately (this time) say that you were reading it for the articles.
2014 Cadillac CTS starts $7k higher than last model at $46,025*
Thu, 13 Jun 2013The redesigned 2014 Cadillac CTS will be more powerful, stylish and luxurious than its predecessor, but it will also be much more expensive. With a new starting price of $46,025 (*including $925 for destination), the 2014 CTS represents a price increase of more than $7,000 compared to the 2013 model, but it should be more appropriately sized and equipped to take on rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which start at $47,800 and $51,900, respectively.
Available trim levels - referred to as Collections - include Luxury, Performance and Premium, offering either a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 and the choice of either rear- or all-wheel-drive configurations. For more performance, the all-new CTS Vsport model will have an asking price of $59,995. This 420-horsepower model is more powerful than both the BMW 550i and Mercedes E550 and about $2,000 less expensive than both.
There's still no word on what Cadillac has in store for a next-gen CTS-V sedan, but we're guessing power and price will both rise considerably. Scroll down for more info on the 2014 CTS that is set to go on sale this fall.
Cadillac abandons plans for six-digit flagship sedan
Mon, 01 Jul 2013So much for that party. Cadillac has announced that it is walking away from plans to build a high-dollar, rear-wheel-drive ultraluxury sedan. The low-volume model would have been based on the lusty Ciel Concept, and the production iteration would have carried a price tag well over $100,000. Executives with the automaker reportedly claim the model wouldn't have bolstered the brand enough to be worth the investment.
Even so, Automotive News reports Cadillac is still on track to build a range-topping four-door to go head-to-head with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That model will likely be constructed on the company's upcoming Omega rear-wheel-drive platform, but we won't see it bow until at least 2016. Right now, the front-wheel-drive XTS sits at the top of the Cadillac lineup, and while that machine and it's twin-turbocharged V6 variant makes a compelling argument against certain luxury entries, it falls short serving as a legitimate competitor for the likes of the 7 Series and S-Class for enthusiast drivers.
