117,000 Miles Newer Goodyear Assurance Tires (about $750 worth of tires) New Battery! Just had the headlights restored and they are very clean and bright (see pic). Well Maintained - Regular Oil Changes and Service Runs Good! Very Strong Engine 4 Speed Automatic Transmission - Shifts very smoothly 275 Horsepower Northstar Engine - 4.6L Exterior in Good to Very Good Condition for it's age. A couple of small rust spots. A couple of spots of paint fade on the back trunk area. Interior in Good to Very Good Condition -with the exception on the bottom outside of the drivers seat (see pics). The trim on the back of the drivers seat need a new clip. It pops loose on one side. All electric seats and windows work. Heated Seats AM/FM Radio with Cassette and CD Player Tilt Wheel Carpets and mats just shampooed. Original Equipment Carpet Mats. Here are the issues with the car: Air Conditioning I believe needs recharged. A warning came on the said low refrigerant and that automatically shuts the a/c off. I have not had it looked at. The blower motor is not working. A new blower motor was put in about a year ago, so it may just be a wire or switch. It sometimes works intermittently. When the gas gauge gets down to 1/4 tank it acts erratic. When you put gas in past that point it is fine. Other than the issues listed above the car runs very good. I have owned the car for about 8 years. I drove it everyday from Delaware to Downtown Columbus. Sold "As Is" No warranty expressed or implied. |

Corvette's Performance Data Recorder headed to other cars, will Cadillac ATS-V be first?
Fri, 14 Nov 2014For 2015, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray gained a novel piece of high-performance technology: The Performance Data Recorder. This trick system combines video from a front-mounted camera with in-car data and GPS information to help drivers record and study their lap times, complete with data overlays. While it's a clever tool for track days, it's also finding popularity as a built-in dash cam of sorts. To this point, the technology has been a Corvette exclusive, but General Motors' executive vice president of global product development, Mark Reuss, has confirmed to Autoblog that it will soon be available in other vehicles.
At a media luncheon on Thursday, we asked whether GM was keen to expand usage of the technology to other models, and if we could expect to see something soon. Reuss coyly replied, "What's soon?" When we suggested the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V (which is scheduled to debut at next week's LA Auto Show), he replied, "There will be other uses, and it won't be that far away. How's that?"
Certainly not an outright confirmation, but we wouldn't be at all surprised to see the next high-po Cadillac roll under the klieg lights at the Los Angeles Convention Center next Wednesday brandishing more than just 450 horsepower.
Cadillac snags de Nysschen from Infiniti, names him new president
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Johan de Nysschen, the (now former) president of Infiniti, has officially jumped ship. The 54-year-old, who also spent time as the chief executive for Audi USA, has taken the position of president at Cadillac, following a two-year stint at the Nissan-owned luxury brand. In his new role, the 54-year-old will be responsible "for all aspects of Cadillac globally," according to a statement from General Motors.
"Johan brings to our company vast experience in the development and proper execution of luxury automotive brands," said GM President Dan Ammann, de Nysschen's new boss. "With over 20 years in this exact space, especially in the development of the Audi brand, his track record proves he is the perfect executive to lead Cadillac for the long term."
"I have for some time now been impressed by how the new General Motors has been transformed into a formidable force in the industry," de Nysschen said in a statement. "The combination of strong corporate leadership and exceptional engineering resources presents the perfect combination to restore Cadillac to its place among global premium brands."
2014 Cadillac ELR whirs into Jay Leno's Garage
Tue, 18 Jun 2013While Jerry Seinfeld was gallivanting around LA with Sarah Silverman in a Jaguar XKE, our favorite car-loving comedian, Jay Leno, was checking out the all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR. Set to go on sale later this year, Cadillac brought its ELR to Jay Leno's Garage to show off some of its styling and technology as well as give Leno some seat time in the range-extended EV. Leno owns both a Volt and a CTS-V, and the ELR is a kind combination of the two (sort of).
In this episode, Leno spends some time talking to Frank Saucedo, GM director of advanced design, and ELR chief engineer Chris Thomason before logging a few miles on the sleek coupe. Interestingly, it seems that GM has definitely changed its tune a little since the introduction of the Volt a couple years ago; Saucedo and Leno both refer to the ELR as a hybrid, and Thomason says that it gets the "bulk of its propulsion" from the electric motors.
