No Reserve Barn Find!

Here is the car you've been looking for! You are bidding on a 1966 Cadillac Deville convertible barn find. The car sat under a shelter with a car cover over it for the past 20+ years. All that has been done, since it was pulled out from under the shelter, is the dust washed off and good set of tires installed to replace the dry rotted ones. It now can be easily rolled/moved around. The odometer is showing 69,949 miles and I believe these to be the original miles on the car. The car appears to be wearing it's original paint and pinstriping. It has all the chrome trim pieces.  The body is remarkably solid with only a few spots on the quarter panels (pictured) and on the bottom of the driver's side fender. The frame is solid and doesn't show any signs of rot. The only signs of rust in the floor pans is in the rear passenger side pan. The other 3 as well as the trunk pan are all solid. The car has it's original 429 engine with automatic transmission. It currently does not run and I'm unsure of what it will need to run. The frame from the convertible top is in great shape, but it will need a top. The interior is all original and untouched. Please keep in mind this is an untouched project car, so it will need a complete restoration. Here's your chance to get a chance to own an original untouched 1966 Cadillac Deville convertible.

Car is sold as-is where-is. I'll be glad to work with your shipper or assist in loading the car. $250 nonrefundable deposit due within 24 hours and remainder due in cash within 7 days unless other arrangements are made. GA doesn't title vehicles this old, so it will be sold with a GA bill of sale only. Feel free to ask any questions

Good luck and bid to win.

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Cadillac CTS-V spotted with big exhaust, new grille?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

If you thought Cadillac was content to leave its twin-turbocharged Vsport as the range-topping CTS, think again. Behold, our first good glimpse at the next-generation Cadillac CTS-V sedan, sporting more aggressive styling (somewhere under there), meaty quad-exhaust pipes, and what very well could be a new face for the V-badged Caddies.
Creating an all-new grille design seems like an awful lot of work just for a prototype, so it's very possible that the vertical-bar treatment you see here could make its way into production. Our spy photographers have pointed out that they've seen this same sort of grille treatment on prototypes for the smaller ATS-V sedan, and we've heard V-series models may soon have greater differentiation from the standard vehicles that sired them - that seems especially necessary if Cadillac insists on expanding this whole Vsport range.
Regardless of how its front end looks, the CTS-V ought to be a real monster. Industry sources say we can expect to see a supercharged version of General Motors' 6.2-liter V8 under the Caddy's hood, and considering the current car already makes 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque, we wouldn't be surprised to see a decent increase in both of those numbers. After all, one of the CTS-V's main competitors, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, is currently putting out 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Could this mean a 600-hp Cadillac is on the horizon?

GM announces 6 recalls covering nearly 720k cars

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

General Motors has announced yet another sprawling recall campaign, with six separate elements covering 717,950 vehicles on US roads. At this point in 2014, it's starting to seem like there are more days with a GM recall than without. Perhaps most troubling about this latest volley, though, is that every vehicle is from the past few years, indicating that GM's quality woes may not be limited to pre-bankruptcy vehicles.
The largest element of this latest campaign covers 414,333 units, and includes the 2011 to 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 2010 to 2012 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and the 2011 to 2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse. Only vehicles with powered, height-adjustable seats are covered. In these particular cars and crossovers, the bolt that secures the height adjuster actuator may loosen of its own accord and in some cases fall out completely. If this happens, the seats will be able to move both up and down. GM claims the vehicles are safe to drive, provided drivers don't vertically adjust their seats. This particular issue has caused one crash and three injuries.
