$2,600 BELOW KBB!!! 2007 Cadillac Escalade EXT ***Oct 2010 I spent $3,400 to purchase the comprehensive "PLATINUM" 6yr/60k Fidelity extended warranty (so it's good til Oct 2016/104k)!!! That of course means the vehicle has always been covered under warranty, so obviously it has been meticulously maintained from day one... Clear / Clean Title in hand (no lien) NO accidents Currently ~89k miles AWD All Wheel Drive Original sticker price was $63,000 OEM 22" Chrome rims/tires (brand new OEM rims as of July 2012) Premium "tri coat" paint (paint hue "shifts" in the light) Advanced navigation system w/in dash screen Bose 5.1 surround sound OnStar system XM radio In dash DVD player 6 disc in dash CD/MP3 H.I.D. headlights (high intensity discharge lights) Aftermarket window tint 15% Automatic rainsense wipers (automatically adjusts w/rain pressure) Automatic low/high beams (senses if another car ahead/behind you & turns on/off high beams) Power windows, doors, locks, moon roof 14 way adjustable driver/passenger seats Leather seats w/memory Power fold in mirrors (they also tilt for curb parking) Heated seats/backrest/steering wheel Remote start truck up to 200' away Keyless entry/alarm Rear backup camera (Navigation screen displays whats behind you) ***I have already priced the truck for a quick sale and did already take the following into consideration... I am a businessman and am not looking to waste your time or mine, so want to be 100% honest and upfront about everything I can. The very bottom of the quarter panel on each side of the truck does have a paint rust bubble (surface rust only, it is NOT rusting through the metal, it's rock solid). I've spoken to Cadillac about it as clearly these in my opinion reflects a manufacturer defect to produce identical results, however the truck is no longer under the factory warranty (but still has aftermarket warranty) so "paint" is not covered. I did have an estimate done at $1513.25 to completely repair both sides). |

2015 Cadillac Escalade on sale in April priced at $71,695*
Thu, 23 Jan 2014With the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade set to go on sale in April, Cadillac has released the pricing data for its fullsize luxury SUV. While there's no retail configurator yet, the data posted on AOL Autos - and confirmed by Cadillac - shows that the 2015 Escalade will have a starting price of $71,695 (*not including $995 for destination).
This new starting price is about $8,000 more than the outgoing model, but Cadillac is quick to point out that the latest 'Slade is packed with more standard equipment in the new base Standard trim that actually puts it more on par with the midlevel Premium trim on the 2014 model (currently priced at $73,245). These new standard features include Magnetic Ride Control, LED headlights and taillights and 20-inch wheels.
Stepping up to the 2015 Escalade Luxury, the price increases to $75,695 and includes added equipment like 22-inch wheels, head-up display, power fold-and-tumble second-row seats and safety systems such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning. The top-rung 2015 Escalade Premium will start at $80,195 adding features such as a rear-seat entertainment system, illuminated exterior door handles and the Driver Assist Package consisting of front and rear automatic braking and adaptive cruise control.
Cadillac rushing update for laggy CUE infotainment system
Tue, 05 Feb 2013BMW's innovative iDrive was introduced in 2001, and a dozen years later, automakers are still learning hard lessons about what consumers want in their infotainment systems. In response to owner feedback - and a few media drubbings - about the delayed and occasionally fickle responses of its CUE (short for Cadillac User Experience) system, Cadillac has told Wired that it's going to issue an update this year.
Coming for the XTS and ATS, the new software will mean quicker haptic feedback to driver inputs on the touchscreen and the buttons, and snappier responses on screen. Down the road, Cadillac's VP of marketing says that a different mix of screen controls and hard buttons is "something you'll be seeing in the future" - the system is presently a mix of touchscreen-based controls and capacitive-touch switchgear - there are no knobs or physical pushbuttons to speak of, and the omission of both has proven to be a divisive issue among consumers and industry pundits.
Cadillac hasn't provided a date for when the CUE update will be issued, but it has indicated that the service will be performed by dealers, not sent wirelessly.
Cadillac to fight Audi A3, Mercedes CLA with small rear-drive sedan?
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Compact luxury sedans are fast becoming the trend among upscale automakers. Mercedes has the new CLA (and its many platform-mates), BMW has the 1 Series and 2 Series, Audi has the A3 and, though Lexus apparently isn't interested in anything smaller than its CT 200h, Infiniti is getting in on the action with a compact model of its own. It would only follow logically, then, that Cadillac should launch a competitor, and according to the latest reports, that's just what it has in store.
Speaking with Car and Driver, Cadillac marketing chief Uwe Ellinghaus confirmed that such a project is in the works. But unlike its rivals, Cadillac aims to go with a rear-wheel-drive layout. This despite research that apparently indicates that a surprising 80 percent of owners think that their BMW 1 Series is front-drive. It's the driving dynamics and styling proportions that motivate Ellinghaus and his colleagues to stick with rear-drive, however.
The new model would in all likelihood be based on the same GM Alpha architecture that underpins the ATS and CTS - a platform that has helped Cadillac keep the weight down on both models and which is expected to underpin the next-generation Chevy Camaro, as well. The sub-ATS could be positioned as a four-door 2+2, however, as the ATS grows a little larger in its next iteration in order to make room for its new baby brother.
