NO RESERVE HIGH BID WINS

Please read the complete listing, look at my pictures and feel free to ask questions before you bid.  As always please do not bid if you do not intend on paying for this car.  This car was traded in on another vehicle and was being stored in a barn.

You are buying a 1977 CADILLIAC FLEETWOOD 75 SERIES SEDAN.  This is a extended 4 door car (LIMO) like was used for family cars.  Has a full bench front seat, full rear seat and has 2 folding jump seats in the middle.

The interior is in really good condition, blue cloth, all power inside and still in working order. The power tilt on the drivers seat is not going all the way back down but does work.  Has tilt and tele. wheel, factory cruise, am/fm/cb/tape stereo and the A/C still kicks on.  The seats are in super condition as well as the headliner, the carpet is in good shape but has faded to a light blue.

BARN FIND IN TEXAS

The exterior is silver in color, has a full soft top that has cracked over the years from the Texas heat.  Has one plactic trim around the left rear tail light that is broken, the other side is fine, right front marker light has 2 small cracks, missing hood emblem and left rear door molding. (see pictures)  Has paint bubbling around the edge of the top on the back corners possible rust starting and one rust spot found on the right side A pillar (all in pictures).  Has crack in windshield by the inspection sticker. (in picture) Has deep rubber but showing weather cracks from the heat, has all 4 factory WIRE HUB CAPS.

As stated this car was being stored in a barn here in North Texas, it does have a current inspection sticker on it at this time.  We had to charge the battery and the car starts right up (pumped the gas a couple of times) but is a little cold natured.  Goes right in to all of the gears and drives down the road.  Has an exhaust leak on the passenger side possible donut gasket or manifold gasket.  I would say a tune up, carb kit and fresh gas you could start driving this boat everyday.  NO KNOCKS and NO SMOKE!

I am a lic. and bonder dealer in Ft.Worth, Texas since 1983. If you are the winning bidder and live in Texas I will collect the TT&L and take care of the paper work for you. (6.25%tax, $65.transfer, $107.75 tags and inspection, .2273%vit) NO HIDDEN CHARGES or SO-CALLED EBAY OR DOC FEES like some other are passing off. Just the high bid and the TT&L as listed. Out of state winning bidder will bring me the cash and pick up your truck and title. (since these vehicles are new car store trade ins, in some cases it could take upto 20 days for the paper work to clear. Does not happen very often, just letting you know up front) CASH ONLY or BANK WIRE TRANSFER, no money orders, no cashiers checks and no personal checks of any kind. Truck and title will not be released until all funds have cleared.

Cadillac dealers get $5,000 incentive for ELR test drives

Tue, 13 May 2014

The 530 Cadillac dealers - out of 940 total dealers - that signed on to sell the brand's ELR for $75,000 or lease it for $699 per month have managed to move 247 of them in the last five months. That's a little less than two cars for each dealer more than two dealers for each car if you need help with the math. With inventories of the luxury plug-in hybrid building up - Automotive News reports a 725-day supply - General Motors has created the Demonstrator Allowance Program to billow the sails on that slow moving ship, giving dealers $5,000 to promote ELR test drives.
A dealer with one ELR in its test fleet that racks up 750 test driven miles between May 1 and June 2 earns the fifty Benjamins, a dealer with two ELRs in the test fleet will get one hundred Benjamins. That will be added to summer incentives for dealers that pay $2,000 for units sold in July and $1,000 for units sold in August, while on the customer side, Cadillac has put "customer discount certificates" worth $3,000 on the hood for buyers and lessees.
Cadillac suggests this is about raising awareness of the ELR, but the question is how much dealers will be able to do for a car that observers - and buyers, apparently - still consider highly overpriced.

Cadillac reveals stretched ATS-L in China

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

In the market for a new Cadillac, but need more space than an ATS can afford? Then you'll want to look at the larger CTS. Unless you live in China, where buyers - often chauffeured instead of driving themselves - seem to prefer a long-wheelbase version of a smaller sedan than upgrading to a larger one. For those buyers, Cadillac has released the new ATS-L.
Based on the existing ATS sports sedan, the ATS-L offers an extra 3.3 inches of rear legroom over the model we get here. As a result, the ATS-L stretches its wheelbase to 112.5 inches and its overall length to 186 inches, while riding a quarter-inch lower than the standard-wheelbase model, which itself was recently updated. That places its length in between the regular ATS and the CTS available Stateside.
Otherwise it's essentially the same sedan, but appears to ditch the base 2.0-liter four to offer either the 2.0-liter turbo four or 3.6-liter V6. Of course this model, produced locally for the Chinese market, isn't likely to make the transpacific voyage to US showrooms, so American buyers will still have to choose between the standard ATS, the larger CTS or the even larger XTS.

How GM's grueling 24-hour test gets the kinks out of its performance cars

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

One of the biggest challenges automakers face when designing a high-performance car is making sure that it is both fast and reliable. For General Motors, any car that might be taken to the track by its owner - like the Corvette, Camaro Z/28 (shown above) and the Cadillac CTS-V, for example - undergoes a rigorous and strenuous 24-hour test by engineers at the Milford Proving Grounds, as pointed out by Car and Driver.
We've posted on this topic in the past - on a video showing the Camaro ZL1 being brutalized, for instance - but this article gives a more in-depth look at what actually happens behind the scenes... including what that poor ZL1 went through. Though the test isn't for 24 hours straight, the cars are pushed as hard as possible by some of GM's best drivers with only the brakes and tires replaced frequently.
We don't want to ruin the fun for you, but it is an interesting article that tells just some of what GM does to develop its sports cars. Check out the full article over at Car and Driver for the rest of the story.
