You are looking at a Styleside. It has the original drive train, six cylinder and three speed on the column. It still has the six volt system and the gauges all work (except clock), the heater and defrost and fan motor and vacuum windshield wipers all work. The lights and turn signals need looked at, might be bad bulbs, have not had time to check them out yet. You can tell the driver side headlight is blown. Dash board light works. Previous owner paid $3500 for the metallic paint job plus installed new upholstry, seats, doors, carpet. New tires. Hub caps and beauty rings need polished and will shine great. I do have the fender skirts for the car but they were not available at time the car was painted so they will need painting. Underneath car is in great shape and appears to be rust free. Car literally sounds like a sewing machine, it is quiet and shifts out fine. Motor does smoke and will probably need new valve seats installed. Chrome is in good shape for it's age but does have some pitting and the bumpers could use re-chroming. Some of the glass do have some glue separation in them but roll up and down and all four door locks still work as well as the door key to unlock them. Upholstry is grey in color. Have Georgia tag receipt and can provide notorized bill of sale. Georgia does not issue titles for cars of this age and the tag receipt serves as a title. 423-304-8475

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
