Have here a 1956 Bel Air. Was a six cylinder w/powerglide. Optional motorola radio and Windshield washer. Missing engine and transmission. I am the third owner. 1st owner bought it new and kept it until about 2 years ago. She left it sit under canopy since the motor went out in 1971. Pretty much original. It was bought here in Grand Rapids and has always been a Michigan car. There is a lot of rust and looks like some amateur bodywork. Please look at pictures. doors open and close good. Front fenders have heavy rot around the headlights. There are dents in the roof. At some point somebody backed into a pole. I have nice replacement trunk lid which is solid, also have a nice rechromed rear bumper. Have the original seats which I took out to survey the rust issues. I have the windows rolled down in pics. The glass is all good except windshield which is cracked. Clear MI title in hand. No overseas buyers. Cash only. No checks or money orders. Note car is also for sale locally and I reserve right to end auction if it is sold.

Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
