I am listing this 1956 chevrolet belair for my good friend. This car has a lot of money invested in it. Some of the work had to be redone which increased the cost of the build. He originally bought this car at a car show three years ago for $24,000. Then invested almost 40,000 more dollars into the car having it be done. He does have receipts for most of the work done to the vehicle. The engine is a brand-new 383 build by smedding performance. The engine dynode around 385 hp. The transmission is a turbo 350 . There is about 300 miles on the car since it  was completely redone. The car has been totally repainted, but a little more attention could've been done underneath by the rocker panels as shown. It's a very nice and solid car, but I want the buyer to see the flaws. It's a very solid and reliable ready to go car. The rear and must be fairly steep as in about 411 gears, but not sure. Car has air-conditioning and the new tilt wheel was a retro smaller 56 steering wheel. Car has brand-new torque thrust wheels on it. Suspension was rebuilt also. Car has dino Matt inside and in the trunk. The whole upholstery was redone the vintage style correct looking interior. This really is a nice looking car and he's taking it to a couple shows this year but that's about it. Is just lost interest in the car, nothing wrong with it, and I would not mind owning it myself. Reserve on this car is under $25,000 with a buy it now included. Once the reserve is met the buy it now will disappear. Car will not be released until funds clear the bank, even a cashiers check or cash in person. Look around at some of the other cars, this is a great-looking two-door with good colors any hot rod look to it.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
