1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR 4 DOOR has the original 283 v8 2 barrel. Currently runs good and drives with 50,506.5 miles on a working speedometer VIN and cowl tags all there. comes with a clean title, currently licensed and insured for last 2 years..The trans is original Power glide shifts just like it should (has a small leak in the cooling line).Rear end is stock,breaks work good, Lights and turn signals work, Heater works.All glass is present except drivers door glass.Very good top.Hood and trunk are in decent shape.Some chrome missing and interior. Fenders will need typical rust repair at the bottom.Rockers are solid.Body needs work but not much.Dash and steering wheel are all there minus the radio and clock.The floors and trunk pans all need minor work.The frame has surface rust, no holes rusted through.Some body mounts rusted (have 3 new one to replace).No bumpers or grill. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
