Up for auction ( NO RESERVE) 1996 Chevy Blazer two door I've used this car for work for the last two years 40 miles a day six days a week and it runs great.It was my daughters car before I owned it.This car has had its oil changed every 3000 miles since she purchased it five years ago.The following has been repaired since it's been ours. Head gasket 2 years ago,gas tank and fuel pump,A/C compressor,Rear brakes & it will be delivered with new front brake pads.We also replaced two of the four tires last year they will pass inspection.Everything works as it should heat,A/C has a slow leak when charged it will last two months, power windows,power doors,power mirrors all lights turn signals work.All glass perfect.There is a leak in the window washer fluid tank.Car has auto start but fobs need to be replaced.The passenger door latch sticks a little be still works.Driver door sags a little but shuts fine.If I were to keep all I would replace is the starter it works but has a dead spot.Car also has a slow oil leak that appears to be coming from the valve covers The interior is clean for the miles it was smoked in at one point of its life but not since we've owned it.The body is in good shape with the exception of the area in front of the rear tires it is rusted through on both sides it looks like it was repaired once but I dont know when.Again body is rusted thru with major cosmetic damage. The rust does not go through the cabin and everything else is solid.Car must be picked up ASAP.Payment must be made in full within 3 DAYS of auctions end or negative feedback will be left. Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
