Ok so I am offering up one more of my trucks so that I can get my
new project. This truck was built a
couple years ago as an economical weekend driver, bar hopping patina truck.I have too many vehicles and this one has to
go.If you want more information on it
there is more information on my website. This is the last of my early spring builds and I would like to use the
money for my summer build so this truck will be going no reserve. Also since I am picking up the new project tomorrow
I need the room and anyone who shows up with the money and a trailer I will
still sell this truck and end the auction.
For the local guys who are going to be bidding on this truck I am
off sat, sun, and Wednesday. Or it can be seen late morning early afternoon all
the other days. This truck gets a lot of
attention, Sometimes even more then my late 40’s trucks for some reason.
Description
Good
It is very possible this truck really only
has the 50,000 miles on it that the odometer says. Shifts smooth clutch seems
solid.Idles supper low and sounds
great. That being said that is the only
reason I kept the inline 6 in it.This truck
was built as a daily driver in North Carolina not as a show truck. So it has all new or rebuilt brakes, brake
cylinders, shoes, drums and so on just like all my other trucks. It is running 2 inch spacers on all 4, 20inch
chrome Chevy rims which are wearing 30mm low pro tires. The heat works.New windshield, and Bed is one piece plywood.
The wheels look great on this truck even for being used rims with some pitting,
especially when the air bags are sitting on the bump stops.
The truck
is only bagged in the rear and was not c notched or step notched. It is filled by a tire valve that is located
next to the rear plate. It has a 3 gallon air tank. Again
there is no on board compressor and there are no switches installed. However the hard part is done and it
was built for function not for shows. It
is lowered in the front but still maintains a good ride especially around town.
If you
have more questions give me a call. All I
did to the engine was tune up exhaust and intake gaskets new alternator.
The bad it does have a few holes in the
floor but they wouldn’t really need attention anytime soon.Cab corners are gone. Typical rat rod stuff. The
fuel gauge does not work, might be easy fix but that is the first thing I disconnect
even if they are working on all my rat rods that run tanks in the cab. It is a
rough ride when it is all the way down sits on bump stops, that’s about it
besides that truck runs great and I have been driving most every day at least
to my real job and home
Legal stuff I prefer you come
to pick up the truck but I will work with third party shippers. All of my trucks and bike are sold for show purposes
only if you choose to register and inspect them it is at your own risk

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels. As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory. That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be? The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
