This is a 1968 GMC 2500 Truck.  It runs and drives very well. Mechanically the truck is absolutely fine. It has a completely stock 350 4barrel engine with a Turbo 400 automatic. This motor is so stock it still has the original smog pump on it. I can't emphasize this enough, the motor and tranny are excellent. Both are very reliable. The truck has 4 brand new 16 inch tires and also has stock bucket seats. These seats are not original to the truck, but are the correct buddy buckets for 1968 Chevy/GMC. The body is straight, no dents and only minor rust in the rockers. All the trim has been removed from the body and all the holes for the trim clips are visible. It has A/C that was working until the compressor gave up a few months ago. The paint sucks and the truck is mostly primer as you can see by the photographs. The bed and tailgate are in excellent shape, the steel bed floor is super straight and looks like it was only lightly used through the years. I have a ton of spare parts I'll include with this truck including the correct 68 hood, grille, bumpers and more. I originally bought this for a parts truck but never could strip it down because it ran so well. I've been holding onto it with the spare parts for many years hoping to restore it one day. This good old truck has just been sitting too long now and it's time to sell. This would make an excellent restoration project or a parts truck for someone. Email me with questions. Don't bother me with low ball offers but I will consider trades. Thanks, Richard

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

    Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

    Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

    Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
