1969 c-10. This truck came out of a private collection where it has been for 21 years. It has a 400 engine with a 350 auto transmission. It has power steering with manual drum brakes. It also has a new dual master cylinder, new brake lines and wheel cylinders. It runs, drives, and stops good. The 400 is a stock early 70s small block with a new edelbrock carb, and a holley aluminum intake. I don't know when it was built or rebuilt but it runs and performs fine.

The truck has a beautiful bright red paint job with very few imperfections, nice shine cleans up very nice. It has a spray in liner over a nice bed.  It has a new windshield with new rubber, all new door rubbers and window felt. The front bumper is new and the grille is the original. It has a nice shine with minimal scratches. I would say it is a 7 on a 1to10. All chrome and trim is in nice shape. It is good driver quality. The bottom of the truck was cleaned and painted when it was restored but some of the paint is coming off underneath as you can see in the photos. There is solid metal under the paint, it just didn't stick very well. It is a true solid southern truck. This truck is an excellent truck to take to cruise ins or car shows but is not a trailer queen.

It has a nice red interior, new seat cover, new door panels, new dash pad, new carpet, new visors, and a new glove box. The red on red suits the truck good.

It has a set of mid 80s chevy rally wheels and goodyear tires. The wheels are 15x8 and the tires are 225/75/15.

feel free to call with questions or for any other photo requests. David 678-283-5891

I have a very reasonable reserve on this truck, ONLY bid if you want to buy.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
