You are looking at an extremely nice 1971 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck. The truck was semi restored a couple years ago by previous owner. The truck was repainted back to the original colors forest green and white (base/clear). It had new rockers, cab corners, glass moldings, door weather stripping, and brakes. Truck has power steering and power brakes that work perfect. The truck has been lowered with 2-1/2 drop spindles and 4 inch drop rear springs. This gives the truck a really nice stance and drives like stock. The truck has a new radio and speakers that sound great. The wheels are 8 inch truck rallies with new tires that fill the wheel wells nicely. The interior is really nice with custom steering wheel, tachometer, and a new seat cover. The truck bed has had another floor put in at sometime not sure when that was done but looks good. The engine is a 350 with a RV cam and brand new 600 carb that runs real good (not sure on mileage). The transmission is a 700r4 OD tranny that shifts well. The speedometer is 23 mph faster because the gear in trans needs changed. Rear main might drip a quarter size spot when parked. If the truck sits for for a while and not started, the battery gets low.If truck is going to sit, I unhook battery. This truck is super straight and clean as you can see in pics. If you would like to inspect it before auctions end, you are welcome to do so. I have done my best to tell you what the truck is as accurate as possible. The paint was done a couple years ago so it's not perfect but really looks good close up. Drive it to the market or take it to a car show, it draws compliments and gets looks where ever it goes. Truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction at any time. I just deal in cash no checks of any kind. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Any questions feel free to Email me @ jh1829@aol.com.  If you don't have any feedbacks, contact me before bidding or you will be cancelled.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.

2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
