For Sale is a 1977 Chevrolet Step Side pickup 77,000 miles on truck body Motor has less than 1000 miles since rebuild. this is the base model scottsdale. this was a fleet side with a 305 but bed and engine were bad so I switched them out and rebuilt the truck.
engine is from a 1978 corvette. 4 bolt main trw forged pistons and a mild cam. eddlebrock performer intake and a eddlebrock 650 4bbl carb. summit headers and exhaust. Sounds great??New summit distributer. Engine totally rebuilt. Engine shop said to keep the pistons and cam. Trans is 350 turbo automatic. Truck has new wood bed / all new rubber for glass/ Dash is in excellent shape. New carpet / door handles/mirrors and lights. New paint job. This is a great daily driver or a weekend cruiser. gets lots of attention and a fast truck. very nice rally rims with new cobra gt radials. Not a show truck but not show truck price. Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
