UP FOR SALE IS A 1970 CHEVY TRUCK I BOUGHT FROM MY FRIEND APPROX A MONTH AGO, BUT HAVE SINCE REALIZED I NEED TO SELL SO I CAN FINISH MY OTHER PROJECT. THE FRIEND I BOUGHT IT FROM PAID 13,000 APPROX 8 MON AGO FROM A DEALER. THIS TRUCK IS BY NO MEANS A SHOW TRUCK BUT IT IS A SUPER NICE TRUCK. IT HAS A REBUILT STRONG RUNNING 383 SMALL BLOCK, BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH NO RUST. IT DOES HAVE A FEW DINGS. HAS VINYL STRIP KIT BUT IS STARTING TO PEEL ON THE ROOF. IT HAS A FEW PANEL FLUSHNESS ISSUES. HAS CUSTOM INTERIOR WITH AUTOMETER GAUGES, PANASONIC CD PLAYER WITH TWEETERS AND 2 10 IN SUB WOOFERS, IT HAS A NEW WOOD FLOOR IN THE BED, CENTERLINE RIMS, 2 1/2 IN DROP SPINDLES WITH DISC BRAKES ON THE FRONT. ALSO HAVE COMPLETE CLASSIC PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS 5 LUG CONVERSION KIT ( ROTORS, DRUMS AXELS) NEW IN BOX. ALL LIGHTS AND SIGNALS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too
Fri, 07 Dec 2012We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
