1966 Chevy Short Wide Custom. (The body is sitting on a 93 Short Wide Frame) The truck is powered by a 350 motor with a nice little thumper sound to it. Very streetable. Transmission is a 350 turbo that shifts very smooth. Disk brakes on front and drum on rear. The truck has Vintage Air and Heat-Power Steering-Power brakes-Remote entry-CD and AM-FM radio. Fuel tank has been moved to the underside of the bed. Filler spout is located in the bed as shown in pictures. The truck has a fiber glass hood which has two very small flaws in it. (Shown in pictures) I do have the paint code to the truck. Couple of things that need to be looked into. The fuel gauage works but shows full all the time. Speedo works but is about 15 MPH off. (Shows going 80 when you are only going about 65) The horn doesnt work. The bed has a few dings in the fender wells. The truck does run and drive very well. Going to drive the truck to Springfield Mo. this coming weekend to the Street-Machine Nationals. This will be about a 350 mile round trip. The truck is for sale locally for the same amount as the buy it now price so I do reserve the right to end auction early. May trade up or down. Any questions call Don 620 820 9410

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
