1968 Chevy K10 Short Bed 4x4 Original 307ci Engine Frame Off on 2040-cars
Colchester, Illinois, United States
All of this info is from the person that I purchased vehicle from and according to him I am only the 3rd owner....Truck spent first 7 yrs in CT before selling to 2nd owner in Atlanta area where it stayed for the next 32 yrs until 2007. He had frame off restoration late 90's ( minus the engine compartment) and at same time total engine rebuild (for no reason other than engine was out and plenty of money to spend) so there are small chips from driving. At this time the top of the engine was changed to new Edelbrock, intake etc and he did not keep the original carb. I replaced front inner fenders after buying it and worked on engine compartment at that time including having transmission rebuilt and new gaskets since engine was out again but a small drip continues and was told that it could not be stopped. I do not work on vehicles so am not sure if this was a true statement or not...... It does have a very slight drip still. The windshield washer pump does not work and fluid bottle is in for looks only, I have never needed it because I would not drive it in the rain. As you can see in photos the lights on cab and door mirrors are not stock, glass is original except for slider in back. 4WD works great, hubs lock easy .... engine starts very easy and purrs effortlessly - sounds fantastic .... lights and gauges work .... all in all a very good running truck and is ready to go. Any flaws that you find are superficial and just from occasional driving. I will assist you in getting it on a transport or you can drive it home to anywhere as it is ready to go and missing nothing (the spare tire does not match). |

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
