Up for auction is my 1985 Chevy C-10 short bed pick-up truck ,I am the 3rd owner of this truck which I was told by the former owner that it was originally a 6 cyl. engine that was swapped out for a low milage Chevy 350 with an edelbrock intake ,I replaced the carb with a new holley 600 cfm added a tune up, which consisted of a new set of Accel 8mm wires ,cap, rotor and a set of AC Delco spark plugs . Truck also has headers and turbo mufflers that exit in front of the rear tires. The transmission is a 350 turbo with a shift kit. As far as the brakes go a new master was installed as well as a new radiator that was replaced about 6 months ago.I also had a new windshield installed, and the rest of the glass is in very good condition. This truck also has a custom grill as well as a rear Lund roll pan. The truck sits on a set of American Racing wheels with P255/70-15 Intimidator Roadking SR tires, the spare tire rim matches whats on the truck. As far as the interior goes  I replaced the carpet and installed a JVC CD player with remote control however you will need to replace speakers and there is a small tear on the drivers seat  .The body of the truck is in pretty good shape, the front bumper is very clean and the  cab corners which seems to be the norm for these trucks to be replaced  is really the only bad thing and will have to be done in addition to a paint job.The bed of the truck is in super clean condition as the pictures will show.THE RESERVE IS SET VERY LOW FOR THIS AUCTION AND THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE .Shipping is the buyers responsability and payment will be a certified bankers check which once clears I will overnight the title to you .Any question feel free to e-mail me and I will respond as quick as possible. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT I HAVE A 100% FEEDBACK AND DONT HAVE TIME FOR ANY  ONE WHO JUST HAS NO INTENTION ON COMPLETING THE TRANSACTION SO PLEASE DONT WASTE MY TIME AND YOURS !!!! I also have all the original A/C brackets and what not that goes with the truck.Truck is also for sale locally and reserve the wright to end auction if needed..Thanks for looking at my auction and bid with confidence because this truck is a great starting point for nice ride at a very reasonable price........GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!

Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
