Condition: This truck was originally green. It has been painted black at one time. I drive it every day . I am selling because I want an extended cab truck. The AC and heat work. The blower sometimes makes a sound like something is in it. I have kept it serviced with oil changes. The CD player and radio work. Some times the rear speakers go out, and then they come back on. The cruise control works. The body has some dings and scratches and needs a paint job. The engine runs good. I just had plugs, wires, and the fire system replaced. All were replaced with AC delco parts. (550.00) I had a front wheel barren changed. I had the front breaks replaced. The break light is on.I had the transmission rebuilt last december. I have probably put about 3500 miles on it since. the lights work. It has current Mississippi inspection sticker on it. The 5.7 V8 is powerful. I like the short chassis to maneuver the truck in tight places. I bought the truck apx 18 months ago. This is the K1500. This truck would be a good driver and a good project truck. It has a current oil change. I also have a set of off road tires with apx 1000 miles on them for extra if you buy it I will make you a good price on them. The tires on the truck will need to be replaced in the future. I paid 950.00 for the new tires and will take an aditional 500.00 for them. Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
