What we have here is a 1968 Z28 Camaro. This car is a documented Protection Plate car from the dealership. The car has gone through a complete rotisserie restoration. Every single wire to lightbulb, to bushing, to nut and bolt....this car has been completely dismantled, restored and meticulously put back together with complete detail and care. The car has a numbers matching drive train except the engine which was found close to the correct date code. Original MO Zapper block which was standard and rebuilt with all Z28 correct components like ..standard 1178 crankshaft...standard 30/30 camshaft, lifters, rockers, balancer, windage tray excetra. Factory Original.... everything in this car to the throttle spring is the way it came off the assembly line. The car is literally not broken into as it was driven only couple hundred miles. Every mechanical part of the car was fined tuned from the point you turn the key. From the Holley DZ original carburetor, to the timing of the engine, to the temperature .... all mechanical components compliment each other when driving. This machine was in the care of a mechanic from the 60's era before it came home. If I would compare driving this car to a musical instrument I would say a flute....Sounds so smooth. The car has no flaws. There is not a scratch, chip, or mark on the paint. The body lines and gaps are like factory. The factory original paint of Seafrost Green is a rare color and has the houndstooth seats which have also been refoamed and upholstered. This car is equiped with a restored AM/FM radio, center console, tic tac toc, power steering, power disc brakes which are all factory original. Even the brake booster and master cylinder were restored to retain the numbers on the booster which state a true Z28. This car was restored with the dynamat coat underneath the carpet to provide the sound barrier of driving. And I say, you can barely hear the car when you drive it. It is equipped with the original reproduction exhaust as well. The wheels on the car are original Z28 wheels. They are also restored with GM stamps and DF stamps on them. There is one spare rim matching the other five wheels that come with the car. The transmission is restored and is an M22 Rock Crusher transmission. The GM Z28 emblems are real and not knock off ones.. These are super rare and they are brand new and not repops...The rear end is the original posi traction BU Code 3:73 rear end with all original GM gears.. All seals have been replaced. There is no leaks anywhere. This car still retains its original glove box tire decal which also describes its status as a True Z28. This car also came with the delux steering wheel which also has been restored. Front power disc brakes with all lines....basically the whole brake system, fuel system is brand new. All suspension is brand new...Everything ..like I said....nut and bolt... ALL NEW....I installed a secondary mechanical temp gauge which will read temp contantly at 180F. This car is definately a beautiful car. They never called these cars the mighty mouse of the 60's for no reason. The car is currently in a heated container stored right now. You will not find a nicer turn key, everything works, completely restored 1968 Camaro anywhere ...Bonus ...ITS A REAL DOCUMENTED Z28 ....For my US friends. The car came from Wisconsin and I am currently the third owner. I can do all the paperwork at the border without you being there. It will leave from Blaine, Washington State. Car must obviously be shipped in an enclosed truck where I can meet the driver for pickup at the border... I will pay the 500 border fee and have all the paperwork ready for you when the car arrives to its new home. It will be made easy so you may take it to your DMV, Isure, and title it to your state. Please read and look at the pictures... All photo and receipt documentation is included with the car. Have this beauty just in time for the summer. Super low reserve for the value of this car. Tens of thousands spent on restoration for problem free turn key car. This car is a real gem ... Goodluck.

On Mar-31-13 at 12:40:13 PDT, seller added the following information:

Had a question about the protection booklet. Those are photo copies in the picture. The real book is stored in our bank's safety deposit box. And yes it will go along with the car. And yes, the reserve is below 50 !

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.
