This is a Base Model car. It has a 307 engine with a 2 barrel carburetor, automatic transmission on the floor with console, drum brakes, a 10 bolt rear end, multi-leaf rear springs, air shocks, front & rear spoilers. The car is originally equipped with air conditioning, but it’s not working. The compressor was removed years ago, saved and goes with the car. The front end has been re-done with new bushings, new shocks and new springs. The brakes have been gone over with a new master cylinder & brake lines installed. The car has a new dual exhaust and sounds nice. The car starts, sounds, drives, shifts and stops very nicely. The car was painted over 15 years ago and has some marks, scratches & scrapes. The interior is the frost green color, bucket seats and black carpet. The car does have an AM radio, but it doesn’t work. All the other electronics; horn, signals, lights, wipers, blower work as they should. This is a 44 year old car, so it is not perfect! It's a nice driving car that can be driven home today. The car still has the original owner manual with Protecto-Plate. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. There is no warranty with this vehicle. It’s being sold as is, where is with no warranty written or implied. Please don’t bid on the car if your short on funds. A $1000.00 NF deposit must be received within 2 days. Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes
Wed, 31 Oct 2012It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
