Please read my feedback I describe great and I am a 100% honest seller. with that being said I am offering for sale my most recent addition to my collection of toys. I bought this car with intentions of showing it at local shows and driving it this summer and due to a upcoming job change that was last minute and I did not expect I will be out of town most of the summer and I will not have time to enjoy it. It is a 1985 original z28 camaro with the 5.0 motor. it has 27675.3 original documented miles and was the same owner from 1986-2013 and all paperwork to show, dealer window sticker, sales invoice, etc. the car was garage kept its WHOLE life, it was TUFF-KOTE rustproofed when it was new, it has air conditioning, cruise, tilt, tachometer, etc, all gauges are accurate and function properly, the paint shows very well with NO peeling or fading, the interior is WAY BEYOND AVERAGE, it shows very nice with no signs of wear on the seats carpet dash etc... none of the plastic is sunfaded and nothing is damaged or missing, all the lights function as they should, the only thing not original to the car to my knowledge is the plug wires, and plugs, and the tires they were put on in 1986 and I have the receipt and warranty information for them as they wanted white letter tires on it and the headlight covers. This thing runs and drives down the road just as it would have in 1985 when it came of the showroom floor, shifts like it should and does not leak a drop of ANYTHING!! it does have mobil one synthetic oil in it and always has, I do have two sets of door and ignition keys for this car. This car has NEVER been in the snow or salt it has only been used on an nice sunny day with no signs of rain in the forecast, so there is NO rust and never has been, the rear brake drums still have the factory seals on them showing they have never been opened! I hated to pull this out of the garage for pictures but pictures in the garage do not do it justice and I hope these will do it better! I would not hesitate to drive this car to florida! overall in my opinion this car is ready to show or enjoy as a weekend cruiser or a daily driver if you so choose.

There is a 100 dollar non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end to secure the sale, you will have ten days to pay for the car in full in the form of cashiers check, cash, or secure wire transfer. I can store/hold the car for as long as you need so that you can arrange shipping/pick-up

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
