Up for NO RESERVE auction is my 2011 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS Convertible w/ the RS Package. No stories and no games just a mint condition convertible that will be sold to the highest bidder. It is a beautiful triple black convertible that is literally in mint condition and I have nothing to note on the condition to set it apart from new. I hate to see it go but it has no place in my now family of three.

The car is a one-owner with an absolutely clean title. It has never been in an accident, fender bender, or even had a rock hit the windshield or grille. I have the title ready to sign over and there are no liens or anything like that to tie up the sale.

I am pleased to say that it has Chevrolet's Bumper-To-Bumper warranty until 05/07/2014 (or 36.000 miles) and powertrain until 05/07/2016 (or 100,000 miles). All this will transfer over for free and I will assist in the process.

I live, and the car is located in, Minot, ND. If you are local please feel free to come take a look or have your mechanic come take a look. If you are not local I would be happy to assist in an inspection. I will do my best to describe the car accurately and no sale will take place if you feel I did not describe it as such. Also if you are from out of town I would be happy to pick you up from the Minot International Airport (MOT) free of charge.

It features many options such as power folding roof, power windows/locks/seats/mirrors, USB & Auxiliary inputs, Boston Acoustic sound system, heads up display, keyless entry, 6 speed Hurst Shifter (factory upgrade), 20" polished aluminum wheels (width is upgraded as well), RS package (tons of extra's including HID headlights, Halo headlights, performance gauges, upgraded tail lights, etc.), and so much more. It comes with all original keys, all original paperwork, and also the window sticker.

Not sure if I am leaving anything out so feel free to email me with any questions. You can also call or text me. I have the local area code and my number is 641-8781.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Sun, 27 Jan 2013

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
