2011 Chevy Camaro Pace Car Convertible on 2040-cars
Springboro, Ohio, United States
I bought this limited edition car (only 500 were made) new and have cared for it meticulously. Dealer added TVS 2300 Supercharger, cold-air induction and Loud Mouth II Exhaust with factory authorization right after purchase. Now runs 550hp. (Still have ALL original parts and paperwork, all of which come with car.) Oil changed yearly (as sparingly driven.) No accidents. Never saw rain, snow or race track, etc. Always cleaned properly with rinseless wash by me. Clearcoat is immaculate. Climate controlled garage. Stored and covered except for occasional pleasure trip to keep parts in good working order. Convertible top has never seen any problems. Fabric is excellent. Body, interior, undercarriage and engine are all kept so clean you could eat off of them. Original floor mats still in orig box. Replica mats in car. This is a concourse condition car with only 2850 miles at time listing!! Clean CARFAX, never wrecked or raced! Other options added for protection include: Clearbra (3M) over front bumper, hood, mirrors, door handle recesses, and gills. Can be removed if desired. Even have plastic cover over radio face, kept on immediately after purchase, to keep even tiny scratches off face. Mudguards, front and rear. No holes drilled, easily removed. Opticoat 2.0 on all painted surfaces. Highest quality CoverKing indoor car cover, felt lining. AI have over $65k invested in the car. I now need space for a family car and must sell it. This is your chance to own a car that is essentially still new and rare and almost certainly a future collector car. It is also a blast to drive. Sure show winner as well. If you any questions at all or need additional pictures, just ask me thru this eBay ad, and I'll promptly answer them. I have added extra pics. I have clear title. |

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
