1967 Chevelle Malibu !! Rebuilt 327 V8 !! Very Clean And Solid !! on 2040-cars

Year:1967 Mileage:33499
Location:

West Columbia, Texas, United States

West Columbia, Texas, United States

You are looking at a very clean and solid 1967 Chevelle. This car belongs to my father in law and he has owned it since the mid 80s. This is not the original 327 that came in the car but is period correct. The block stamped number list a 1967 327. The engine was overhauled (have receipts) about 2 months ago and has less than 300 miles. All new brake system was installed on the car at the same time the engine was being overhauled. The car was painted by main street paint and body in Pearland Texas about 3 years ago and has been kept in the garage since.  All the gauges work. All electrical works including lights, blinkers, horn etc. The car just passed inspection last month. The vinyl top is in great shape. The interior is in good shape with no rips, tears or stains. The headliner and carpet are new. It has the original 3:36 posi trac rear end with a powerglide 2 speed automatic. The car runs fantastic. Does not overheat, holds good oil pressure,no knocking, ticking or smoking. It has a brand new holley 650 carb. I have the original 327 air cleaner as well. the car is very solid. The only rust that was repaired when it was painted was a spot behind the rear passenger tire and underneath the back glass. It is a original ac car but does not currently have a ac compressor. My father in law said he would consider installing a new ac system if the price is right. I would consider this car a VERY clean driver. This chevelle was his pride and joy and like I mentioned before he has owned it since the 80s but hard times forces sale.  The car is located in West Columbia Texas about a hour south of Houston. Feel free to message me on here if you would like to set up a time to view the car in person. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. You can fly in and drive it home or I can assist in shipping if buyer pays all fees. The car has a clear blue bonded Texas title. Bid with confidence, you will not be disappointed. If you have any questions feel free to message me on here or call me at 979-236-8505. Thanks for looking

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
