1969 Chevelle. Original 4speed disc brake car. Car was from Florida past 25 years. Former owner won many trophies with car. Car features a rebuilt ground pounding 468 full roller big block Chevy rebuilt in April 2013, pump gas friendly. 10:1 compression. Rebuilt Turbo 400 By J&W transmissions in Florida with 3000-3200 stall converter. Factory 12 bolt posi with 355 gears. MSD ignition with MSD 6AL mounted under dash. Spare modules come with it. Street friendly Holly 650 Double pumper. Edelbrock rpm manifold with endurushine finish. Edelbrock aluminum Estreet heads. Hooker large tube coated headers into a 3 inch system with dumps in front of rear axle. Bcool aluminum radiator. Dual electric fans.Car was built with the Florida heat in mind. Battery relocated to trunk. Front to back new painless wiring. Shaved firewall. NO HEAT. Engine compartment is show detailed. power steering New Ididit tilt steering column with Grant 4spoke wheel. Interior is in excellent condition. Covan aftermarket Dash with all phantom gauges. AM/FM with CD stereo. B&M qiuck shift mounted neatly into factory console. Dynamatted front to back. There is no paperwork with this car proving it is a real SS nor am I trying to pass it off as one. 
Arrow straight. Cars presents very nice and looks very slick, paint job is 21 years old with some signs of age but not much. No rust or rot, just some light scratches, a couple of chips and a small half dollar size burn from buffer on sail panel part of rear quarter. Tough to see but there. All glass is nice .Weld pro star rims with BFGs in good shape. Car was built to show and drive. It has more power than you will ever need for the streets and is Very fast. If you are local or would like to set up an inspection I will accommodate that. Very nice car. It was babied for the past 22 years and washed with 2 buckets of water, 1 for soap and 1 for rinse. You get the idea.

2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor

Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
