Up for auction is my, "born with/numbers matching", Daytona Yellow, 1969 Chevelle SS396, 4-spd, original "restored" car.  When I say "numbers matching original" I mean through out.  Unlike many cars you will find for sale, I have photo's to document the entire power train.  I have all the receipts to verify the entire restoration i.e. motor, trans, rear-end etc etc  There are photo of the car being disassembled showing all the numbers on the engine block, trans and rear-end.  "Vintage Air" was installed

The car is an original L-34 car.  The car built built 04A, the first week of April.  The engine stamping, NOT A RE-STAMPED, block have the factory "broaching" still.  The number on the engine pad is T0326JC.  This tells you the motor was built March 26, 1969.  The "JC" tells you it was factory equipped with a 4-spd.  The Muncie trans is stamped with the VIN number, it carries the P9C19A code all on the correct "660" case.  The rear-end carries a code of C1 03 21 B.  The car came with a 3:73 posi rear-end.  The gears were changed to 3:36.  I still have the original 3:73 gears which are in great shape.  The gears were changed for better "freeway" driving.
Without listing every single part numbers and date code, I will tell you this car has the correct "rare" 7029215 Rochester carb, unique to this car.  The correct "6223" steel crank, 1063 heads, 1111498 dist, water pump, alternator, fuel pump on so on.  The original master cylinder "309" BA code, booster of 9391 dated "80 and so.  You ask me and I'll tell you the numbers and date codes. All the original parts were sent out to various business' and restored, they WERE NOT replaced with aftermarket LOOK A A LIKE parts.
The car has all new wiring loom front to back from "MH" wiring.  The car has all new glass.  The chassis was removed all received all new frame bushing and a complete front-end rebuild.  All new brake lines, gas tank, GM sending unit.
The car received a complete new interior.  The car has the original "SS" gauges cluster with tachometer, center console, tilt steering column
The car was re-painted the original Daytona Yellow using PPG Basecoat/Clearcoat.  A new black vinyl top was installed.
The cowl tag verify's the color and interior.
The cowl tag also has the "L code on it.  To which many researchers feel only was placed on "true" Super Sports that were built at the Kanas and Baltimore plants.  This is a Baltimore car.
I have no "complete" or "pieces" of any type of build sheet which I claim was found in the car during the restoration, as many sellers state.
I will answer as many questions as possible about the car.
Clear California title in hand.
The car is for sale locally also, therefore I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
Upon a sale I request a $500.00 deposit via PAYPAL.  Full payment within 7 days.  I will accept a cash or money wired to my account.  The car and title will not be released until payment is made in FULL.
The owner is responsible for all shipping arraignments & shipping charges.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. If you have some time this afternoon, be sure to check it out the Corvette colorizer for yourself, and even if you don't have the time, we've put together a gallery with all of the possible color combinations.
