1969 Chevelle SS Convertible with nice factory options and colors. Garnet red with parchment interior and white
top. Non matching number 396 engine, turbo 400 transmission and 12 bolt rear end. New(Aug 15) aluminized, stock
style exhaust system with resonators and mufflers. Bucket seats, console, rally dash with tach and speed minder,
power windows, power top, tilt wheel, a/c, original factory 8 track, am/fm stereo. Very clean car with no corrosion
or rust anywhere. Very clean frame with no dents or damaged areas from jacks or lifts. All indications are that
it retains all its original sheet metal and factory spot welds. Drives perfectly straight and true with the
steering wheel centered with hands off the wheel and stops equally straight. The transmission shifts like new.
The power windows operate quickly with no binding or hesitation. Power top is quick and smooth also. I’m
normally a purist with my cars, but the minor front and rear Hotchkis suspension upgrades makes the car drive and
handle beautifully. These are bolt on components and easily removed in favor of the stock parts if desired. The
parchment interior stays cool in the sun with the top down and the car is a pleasure to drive. I’ve enjoyed
taking it to the beach with the top down many times. I am the third owner. The car was restored for the previous
owner by a well respected Chevelle collector. Their contact information will be provided to the new owner. This
is a well optioned car that drives beautifully. You won’t be disappointed. The car is available for inspection
by buyer or buyer’s representative. Please see additional pictures below and video of the car running after
being started cold

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
